I have done some multi drop to corner shops, they are called corner shops for a reason. They need their stock ,but I should not park on a corner.
Exactly right you should not park on a corner because it causes dangers to others especially with observation.
Have you heard of a sack trolley? Ask your TM if you can park on a corner and his answer will not be YES.
Professional drivers should at least know what is right and what is wrong especially if they are going to break the rules.
Lorry drivers last time i looked had to deliver some goods or they’ll soon be out of a job, similarly the company won’t be issuing medals to said drivers if they faff about half the day waiting for a space which will never be created in an ideal situation or park 300 yards from the delivery and sack barrow… … half a ton of customers goods through the rain, by the time they’ve done three trips the local scallies will have done the rest of the load for 'em but not to the shop.
Do you think drivers go about looking for the most dangerous spot they can park deliberately, and then once found doss about there as long as possible in order to create maximum mayhem.

300 yards from the delivery and sack barrow … 32 feet is all that is needed.
Judging by the way some park. Yes. I understand completely about parking when delivering, god I have done it plenty but I always made sure I was not causing any danger. Is that so wrong? or are you defending these morons?
Some obviously just do not think about the dangers or simply do not care.
And yes there are plenty that park causing the least convenience. Happy now.
Having to make a delivery is no excuse for putting other peoples lives or well being at risk by parking dangerously, though to be fair the OP hasn’t described the situation he parked in so we have to assume he was parked in a reasonably safe position.
I’m also curious to know what the car driver had to be grateful for though

Don’t sweat stuff like that. Try blowing them a kiss next time, it winds them up a treat and won’t land you in the trouble that offering them out will eventually.
Trust me, I’m usually the mild mannered (after you sir) kind of chap, but we’ve all had a moment when someone pushes your buttons and a switch flips in your head. The mods on here have edited it out but the word he actually used was (c u next Tuesday!)
Beaver if that was you mate we’d be in the pub by now havin a laugh about it, mines a pint btw

Not saying you were parked in a bad or dangerous place DB but you do get some that do not take other peoples safety into consideration when parking to deliver.
You see them all the time parked on double yellows or on zig zags at a crossing or completely blocking a pavement or on the brow of a hill all with their hazards flashing…DOH.
Seems some forget parking rules and do exactly what suits them.
Wait for it…
See for you to end your quote with wait for it, you know you’ve just poked a wasps nest with a stick, do you get off on it mate? You remind me of alder don’t hear much of him on here anymore? But I guess you’re entitled to your opinion . . .
Challenging the public to fights doesn’t do our image any favours.
Calm down. It’s Friday.
Well he was hardly up for the challenge coz he drove off! It would of been a one sided contest anyway.
Yeah thank ■■■■ it’s Friday/ Actually now Saturday morning so now we can sit at home and moan on trucknet whilst in hiding from the missus in our man cave/spare room/shed/garage you get the idea
So there I am on multi drop in London / Birmingham etc with 20 drops on. I get to the first one and can’t find a safe space to park, so I carry on to the next one, same story, and the next three. This is getting silly now, so I get to the sixth one and there’s a space but I’ve got the first five which are right in the way. I go back to the yard and tell the boss that I couldn’t find a nice safe place to park at these drops so I left them and guess what… I’m sacked for being a useless berk.
So what do I do now ? I’m out of work because I insisted on being a pedant about where I parked instead of getting on with the bloody job. The main thing I can see about what happened to the op is that billy big balls in his car made a right song and dance about nothing, and he probably went home and kicked the dog.

Dan you got it all wrong. When I put wait for it I was referring to Mr Beaver who has a habit of jumping in after I post and abusing me!
Do I get off on it you ask? Not really but sometimes I like to play the devils advocate and wind people up. Sometimes it’s the only way you get a reaction on here. One thing I will say is I despise bad driving and bad attitudes and it is clear some on here may fit into that category.
And yes we are all entitled to our opinions. Some just do not like hearing the truth is mine.

Think you are going a bit over the top there peterm. You can make deliveries in London quite easily but you can also do it without causing danger to others. I agree the person in the car was probably making a song and dance about it but we all do that from time to time especially if we are in a hurry.
By the way I am coming down under again soon to see your beautiful country once more. Well actually a cruise from Auckland round various ports then onto Tas then onto Australia.
Can’t wait.
