It looked like that Golf was slowing down for nobody.

Car filming overtakes far too early, idiot in the Golf doesn’t like as its going to hold he / she up so performs a lethal under / overtake.
I once had someone pull out on me when I was overtaking so i ended up overtaking them at the same time as the original car I was overtaking. It was either that or rear end the person pulling out on me.
I use this road everyday, this type of thing happens all the time up here, according to local stories there is more to it than meets the eye.
Canny see the problem, nobody crashed.
You can see that sort of thing 5 times a minute on some roads in the US of A where much of the population lack the $10 necessary to pop down to their local walmart to buy another brain cell to knock against the one they already have.
It could be the driver filming could see the golf approaching quickly and thought he’d try to slow him down by overtaking early? personally i’d of left a gap between me and the lorry, let him go first, nothing worse than having an impatient driver up your jacksie.

Dash cam footage should only be valid if it shows the 15 minutes before hand and a rear view too.

I’ve checked with TNCSI and what happened was… Dude filming spent the last 20 minutes or so updating his facebook and finishing a particularly difficult Soduko puzzle and made absolutely no attempt whatsoever to overtake the slow moving HGV. Suddenly he took notice of his surroundings and saw someone overtake the truck. Now being the type of driver that absolutely has to follow someone he immediately pulled out to overtake too. Problem being he neither indicated nor checked his mirror before doing so. If he had he would have seen the Golf ( which was probably been driven by a man capable of independant thought and deed) already comitted to overtaking the moron in front of him (camera man).
Case closed.
Have every sympathy with the Golfer, bloke with the camera mincing about would annoy taking valuable overtaking space up like that…
