Farmers get paid a lot of money not to use land from the EU grants,set aside scheme.
I’m not certain if set aside is finished yet, but I’m pretty certain that they (the eu) are looking to do away with it soon. Also under set aside, the land cant be used for anything else, except possibly grazing, and must be available to return to production, kept in a usable (agricultural) condition.
I have worked for farmer hauliers, and one off those farmers/hauliers parked some old trailers and some farm machinery in the corner off a sat aside field, the Min of Ag, threatened to withdraw the set aside for the whole acreage, not just the piece effected unless the offending equipment was removed.
So to put hard standing down would straight away knock the return to production on the head, and thus disqualify the land from set aside
Sorry folks was sitting in Hilton Park services at 4 this morning. I was reading this post and honked my horn several times in frustration. Sorry to all the grumpy looking drivers who were peering out their curtains at me.
Come to the conclusion that a few great bear drivers at cannock are a bunch of dicks.coming past blasting there hornsa.drivers arent parked there for the fun of it.its because they need to park.to get rest.if i had the time to drive else where i would.just had a go at a driver and yet he tried denying at first.
then said oh thats my mate doing that.so why was you doing it.oh because your all parked there.well sir you are a prick of the highest order especially when he replys oh we will do it even more then.like i said when your tucked up in bed at home i will be by with my truck will sit outside your house blasting my horn.paybacks a ■■■■■.sorry for the rant im shattered peed of and have tried getting back to sleep except its not happening so.much for proffesional courtesy.we dont do this job for the fun of it. We do it to provide a standard of living for our families.

Only one thing wrong with your post, people that blast their lorry hooters for any reason when others are trying to get some kip are not and never will be (as long as they have a hole in their arse) lorry drivers, they are people who happen to be attending the steering wheel of a lorry instead of some other job they might do on the day in question.

Well im sure that other drivers in his company know who he is and his friend.in cannock delivering to dhl excel. old 60-70 smokes a pipe.i would put his reg but im not that much of an arse.it was his age that stopped him getting some payback.

No i dont work for stobrats.but because of these two tossers.it cost me financially as the job i was meant to do that morning had to be given to someone else as i would of never got there.plus it screwed up the rest of the day as i spent an extra hour on the m6 when i would of been long gone from the area two hours before it got busy.so because of these two idiots i ended up losing overtime plus night out money.

Can I just say that despite the reputation agency drivers seem to have, which in some cases is fully deserved, we are not all the same. I choose to drive for an agency as it gives me much more flexibility, the chance to drive many different trucks with differing load/trailer combo’s that I probably wouldn’t get driving for the same firm day in day out. I’ve been driving over twenty years and still take it seriously despite being an agency driver so PLEASE no more cheap gags at the expense of us, from what I’ve read so far it would seem there are a lot of d******d drivers around who aren’t agency!

Have noticed they have all been driving since god was a lad and have had long serving previous jobs but all of a sudden agency driving ;siuts their lifestyle;
