UK's shabbiest fleet?

toowise:
Definately think PM transport in Liverpool.
Although the work they do isnt the cleanest, they still have some 113s working. Once saw one being repainted in Garston docks…One guy was stood on the roof with a paintbrush and another on step ladders at the side, all outside on a windy day next to a shed where they were loading soya. There must have been a lovely finish to that paintwork.

If you get a chance, check out Gibbons from Seaforth docks, i’ve yet to see anything worse.

Homebase!

Tesco distribition is my number 1, done get me started on the units. The old trailers ie 05-present were good, the new ones look vile, just like their owner…!

White Arrow trailers

Why so old?!

Why are the artics being used by the breweries on beer deliveries always complete old battered sheds? Unit and trailer. Never seen a remotely smart looking wagon being used in that line of work.

Palmer & Harvey’s fleet always looks worse for wear. Miserable beige and red rigids, usually shot old Ivecos.

LLoyds of ludlow■■?

Hovis old green Volvos I done a stint on agency for about five years back were the pits, actually put me off buying their bread, started seeing some newer yellow fleet creeping through now tho but bet they are still minging inside!!! Didn’t even have a wash in the brum depot, asked for a broom once to sweep the moldy bread out the back and was looked at like I was daft!!! :grimacing:

Most of Pickfords removals vans with there faded blue paintwork.

the decrepit volvos at Pickfords take the biscuit without any question for me. Absolutely wretched both inside and out.

Hovis come a very close 2nd place. I remember driving a few of their old DAF 55s. Looked (and drove) like they had been through years of wind tunnel testing.

John Fords’ (Birmingham) Tippers.
Loaded a Volvo FM 8w yesterday of Holystones (?) that was eaten with rust.

Red/Yellow livery?
They’re from Wallsend near Newcastle. Stuff is usually tidy mind.
Wonder what they’re doing down your end

Come to think of it, the phone number was covered by gaffer tape so maybe it’s been sold? Bit silly to leave your name on though.
There are a few TRAVELLERS pretending to be legit businesses around here and said vehicle did get loaded with sharp sand…

QTR Transport Woodley Reading!

William Kirks, Macclesfield. Some of our trailers belong in a museum. When you get asked to drop the suspension on a bay and have to tell them you can’t because it’s on springs! The younger ones look at you gone out. Some of the older Volvos could do with pensioning off! But the management have got some nice new cars!

I don’t know why but there seems to be quite a few Palletline members mentioned here :open_mouth:

motorway transport from Felixstowe (white 124 Scanias and mk1 and 2 Fh’s with blue stripes, pull containers) are scabby/filthy old nails

HEYGATES lol ERFs, Fodens and DAFs. and the trailers… still running since they were made in 60s 70s 80s and so on. good luck    :unamused:

W H Ratcliffes from sudbury, used to be a smart fleet of tippers, but now just a mix and match of whatever !!

big barry:
PM TRANSPORT merseyside look like they have just been dredged out of the river
