Ukraine [merged]

Putin has balls let’s face it… anyone who tells them yanks that if they try n start and want a go they will get the same…has for them krauts all they are bothered about is not having the gas cut off so as not to [zb] them up controlling Europe like they do with the economy.

The Russian rabble only have balls so long as they are facing a non nuclear armed opponent or in Biden’s and Bozo’s case an opponent who’s too scared to threaten preemptive use of nukes against them.
Would definitely prefer MAD than surrendering to these Russian and Chinese commy savages.Just like in the 1960s and 70’s.
As for Germany who can blame them for not wanting a rematch against even worse odds now than they faced in 1941-5.
Us and America have the strategic nuke kit to stop Putin and Jinping it’s up to us to have the bottle to use it.
Not expect effectively unarmed member states like Italy and Germany to bail out our defence strategy failings.
The truth is the strategy of MAD kept the peace in Europe for decades .Without pointlessly marching and conventional sabre rattling on Russia’s borders.Which as in this case just means war on Russia’s terms.

ADVICE FOR RUSSIAN TROOPS ENTERING KIEV

Please note; Please ensure you have plenty ammunition for your rifle. Reports are coming in that a pair of Brothers are circulating in this area. They go by the name of Klitschko and are considered erm…very dangerous at unarmed combat. ■■■ bags have been issued in your kit as they will be critical when faced with these chaps.

Slightly off topic I was watching the German version of Hunted on amazon prime recently & V Klitschko took part. He came across as a bit arrogant but he was focused, prepared and you could see the qualities that propelled him to win. And he could handle himself for sure. Those ■■■ bags would be needed.

Does anyone else think this war has been totally strange how we have seen barely any footage of actual fighting?

The last major war in our time was Iraq and we saw loads of footage of missiles and strikes etc…

We are in an age now where everyone has a phone and can film and upload footage yet all we’ve seen is the odd cctv footage of a missile strike…

Seems very strange to me in our age of everyone filming stuff…

Nato/West keep poking at Russia
Ukraine is just a pawn in the proxy war
No real intention to save Ukraine/add them to Nato
Lots of sketchy behavior to surround Russia militarily
Lots of double standards around what’s happening/the media’s take on the conflict
No different from when the US went ape ■■■■■ when Russia was putting missiles in Cuba threatening its sovereignty
How would US react if Russia orchestrated government change in Mexico, and had Mexico join some military alliance threatening the US
Gas/energy industry pushing for Russia conflict/sanctions to limit Russia’s supply to Europe, and replace it with US liquefied natural gas

Puts things into a different perspective, and feel for Ukies being used as cannon fodder

He wants the old Soviet Union back. Ukraine are just the start.

The reason why we the west are not doing anything is;
Ukraine are not a member of NATO, We’ve just come out of the afgan war, money’s tight from COVID, half of Europe rely on Russian money and energy and the main one, They know fine well Putin is up for a nuclear war, if that happens and China get in board bye bye earth

The EU, US and their allies have agreed to cut off a number of Russian banks from the main international payment system, Swift…tighten you belts folks it’s going to get ruff

Ironically it’s the modern generations’ fear of nuclear war and NATOs resulting change to the strategy of containment, instead of MAD, that makes it more likely.
Russia has historical issues with hostile conventional forces on its borders and Putin is an old school Cold War leader who is going by old school rules.
Now he knows that NATO is scared of the nuclear option. My guess is he won’t stop at Ukraine he will attempt to push NATO out of the old Soviet and WP buffers. That Russia withdrew from in good faith not for NATO to move in.
All because the modern generations’ of the free world haven’t got the bottle to laugh and party in the face of mutually assured destruction.
While thinking that Russia will play by their rules when they go sabre rattling on Russia’s border.
It takes an old school leader using old school strategy to deal with Russia and China and Biden is no JFK in that regard and Russia knows it.

the usual load of crap

You’re so out of touch I don’t even want to respond. Just look at your posts in this thread, in the beginning,. you’ve totally discredited yourself on this issue but still keep pumping out crap. If we can figure out a way to collect all the steaming gas from the giant turds you lay all over this forum we can power the world for a year

Germany has long been reluctant to spend much money on arms for well known historical reasons.
Well, Putin has changed all that now.

Have you been listening to Russia Today? Sounds like propaganda from Putins poodles. "Poor ole Putin. The big boys made him beat up the little kid" Pathetic excuses for an old fashioned land hungry dictator. Like many absolute and long term leaders he has a coterie of yes men surrounding him, and his hubris is ever growing. (David Owens book is good reading)

CF:“That Russia withdrew from in good faith not for NATO to move in.”
Russia stopping its occupation of countries doesnt mean that they are only free to do what Putin wants!
“Good faith” is giving sovereign countries, sovereignty. Not “freedom” conditional on obeying Russian wishes.

The invasion is making NATO and the EU more influential in the area, and pushing Finland and Sweden closer to the west, not further away.
Let`s hope his military are more in tune with reality than he is.

Putin was not so frightened of NATO invasion, as of his own citizens realising that they have been robbed by this bandit.
He needs an enemy to keep his people united under his “strong leadership”.

We can`t blame the common decent Russians for bieng fooled by his state manipulated media.
We can blame those who choose to believe propaganda when a more accurate picture is there for us all.

I reckon Putin will soon change his mind after hearing Europes hard line approach. :bulb:

They’re banning Russia from this year’s Eurovision Song contest…apparentlly. :unamused:
Ruthless.

One good thing has come out of this lot…The news media is no longer full of ‘vaccinations., ‘mask wearing’ ‘social distancing’ ‘periods of isolation’’ …and all the rest of the Covid related dog ■■■■.
Pity it’s took the advent of WW3 to achieve it though.

NATO having changed its defence strategy from MAD to conventional Containment on Russia’s borders is fact not propaganda.
The truth is our parents generation were rightly prepared to compromise the ‘sovereignty’ of Italy let alone Ukraine to avoid war with Russia.
Bearing in mind defence strategy has nothing to do with sovereignty.
As I said Russia is playing Kruschev v JFK.
You’re obviously playing Blair v Saddamm and the Boris and Biden show isn’t even that good.
Good luck with that.My bet is Russia will launch a preemptive nuke attack before you get your ‘regime change’ this time.Because now they know that NATO has lost the stomach for thermo nuclear war.
That’s a statement of fact not propaganda.

6 Challenger tanks, 4 Eurofighters and infantry armed with .22 rifles v strategic nukes and someone who’s prepared to use them first.
WW3 indeed.
