Quite a long video but worth a watch. Not many people know Russia as well as Peter Hitchens. Spent a good chunk of his life living in the soviet union.

Small arms and maybe a few anti tank weapons v artillery and NATO understandably running zb scared of a preemptive nuke attack is all I’m seeing.
Kahn wouldn’t be far wrong while the Bozo and Truss show is just ■■■■■■■ off the Russians even more by pointing a toy gun at them and talking a good fight.
While Biden says the Containment and economic sanctions strategy is working well.

The question is why would anyone in the free world actually want to live in a zb hole Communist enemy state under Communist rule.
While East Germans were getting shot for trying to jump the wall to the west.

Obviously might stop the local Polish community kidnapping her but won’t stop her getting nuked by her own Dad if his threats are real.
It’s all looking more like bs to me China securing it’s grain supply as part of agenda 30 seems to explain it better.
Winseer:
There’s no sense to all this
There is if China is using Russia to do it’s dirty work in taking over Ukraine’s food resources, under veiled threat of China turning on Russia.

Interesting angle there…
Russia’s border with China is the longest on Earth - if one disregards the “Buffer States”.
Looking around for unbiased coverage, just sticking to facts, figures, and tactical maps…
Quite impressed with Al Jazeera actually.
All on one page at that. A vertiable dashboard of info!
NATO and the then EEC were quick enough to take over countries falling off the wagon that was the USSR 3 decades ago.
Russia were powerless to prevent all manner of annexing, which essentially what it was for most of the EE states that crossed over. Those that resisted, regimes attempting to hang on - Romania brought their leadership to a nasty end, but Czechovslovakia - had the more Velvet Revolution version. The end result was the same though, more integration with Western Europe, and a rather one-way shifting of people Westwards, as who in THIS country thinks of "Chucking up things here, and moving to any EE state to get a new life?
Where are all these Refugees going? - I’m seeing a net reduction of Ukrainians at work of late, most going home to be with their families, rather than going home to take up arms, and fight (or at least, they are not admitting to that…)
Russians, on the other hand - have gone to ground in Kent at least, almost like the Jewry of Europe did once France fell to ■■■■ Germany in 1940… And with good reason already…
Winseer:

It seems strange how it’s so difficult for us to move between our old English speaking colonies of US/Canada/NZ/Australia but it seems much easier for old Communist enemies Russia and China to move here.
Certainly in China’s case exit visas are conditional on Communist Party membership and loyalty. While it takes naivety I the extreme to think that Russia isn’t run by a neo Communist regime.
There’s a lot that doesn’t seem to add up.
Especially with agenda 30 on the table.

Just been watching Sky news reports,… you can focus on the fleeting refugees if you like Winseer, but these Ukranians still there have got a hell of a lot of respect and admiration from me, for what that is worth.
Their attitude is amazing, they talk as if it’s inevitable, .the non altersnatve thing to do without question…defend their country,.these guys would rather die than have their country occupied by Putin.
Those that can t fight are filling sand bags, laying defences, making improvised weapons (molotov cocktails) and generally sticking together and doing their bit.
I’d like to think people in this country would be the same in this situation.
One who made a big impression was a young 20 yr old girl.,.a similar age to my youngest daughter, her and her friends weren’t spending money on clothes and make up as young girls do (she was not the ‘butch’ type btw ) they were buying rifles ffs.
Very brave people,

Very brave people,
We’re already in ‘this situation’.
Russia has clearly threatened us with a preemptive nuclear strike.
I’m not seeing anyone including big mouths Bozo and Truss saying that we’re up for it and if Russia doesn’t cease its aggression in Ukraine immediately well nuke those Russian scum first.
The fact is rifles won’t fix this.
Bravery indeed.

Very brave people,
Yea, because their President told them to.
This is a difficult situation. Ukraine has no chance of success. All they can hope for is to make it as painful for Russia as possible.
Now if you was say the President of the United Kingdom in a similar situation what would you do?
Arm kids and send them to die?
thesun.co.uk/news/17639076/ … -invasion/
Or just negotiate a peace with Russia?
I dont see Russia blinking at the sight of mass casualities. So, I think if the president of Ukraine has some sense and stops listening to the west who want him to fight he will surrender. Women and children should not be sent to the frontline to die.
Edit:
Just as a small caveat. There are cases in which fighting to the bitter end is justifed. For example if the enemy wants nothing more than to kill you and exterminate you. Then obviously the only option is to fight. For example if your a jewish community in europe during WW2.
I like to think if we lost WW2 even Churchill would enter into negotiations with Hitler rather than see the UK reduced to a crater. (“In the hypothetical situation of the Nazis aquiring nukes before the UK/USA.”)
Its also important to understand the history of Russia and Ukraine. It is very much akin to Scotland and England.

Also just to add some context to when Putin said he wanted to de-nazify Ukraine as one of his main goals. As the western Media has often said this is just some made up crap.

No thanks there is no dealing with Socialist scum whether it’s the ■■■■ type or the Russian type.
I’ll take the mutually assured destruction option.
Better to die on our feet than to surrender to the KGB POS and his Chinese handlers on our knees.
Ukraine is just the result of the failure of the stupid US containment strategy.
Putin’s ( and Xi’s ) nuclear threats should be returned in kind.
They want WW3 bring it on.

No one, fights just because they are told to. They must, at some level, want to. If you were foolish enough to believe the Russian lies that he is some sort of liberator, then the Ukranians wouldnt be fighting at all. Putin told his soldiers to fight, but there are credible stories of them surrendering. They are risking being shot because they dont believe in Putin`s nonsense.
Those in Ukraine are fighting for their homes, lives, and kids.
They know how life was under the USSR, as a vassal state and dont wish to return to that under Putins Russia.
The Russian story of the EU or NATO recruiting the ex Commie Blok countries isnt true. God knows there have been enough posts about the EEs coming over here taking our jobs etc. The EE countries wrent all rushing to get jobs in Russia were they?
Hitchens wittering on about Russian history is akin to a justification of harbouring old grudges.
Keep on that path and no one will ever progress.
We need to understand where Putin is coming from? A man born after the end of WW2?
Maybe that would help.
BUT
Putin needs to understand where Ukraine is TODAY. They are a free country who have made a free choice to move away.
Understanding the Battle of the Boyne might be useful, but not as useful as looking at the needs of modernday Ireland.
Learn from the past, but dont relive all the battles, and dont carry all those scars forward.
I’m just trying to give some counterpoints because if you watch Main stream media. The Ukrainians can do no wrong and Russia is commiting genocide and are evil.
As for life under Soviet rule. I often watch a youtube channel called bald and bankrupt. He visits former soviet states and Russia itself. A lot of Soviet States have fallen into disrepair. Belarus is a good example. But most are the same. Heck even Ukraine, most of their major infrastructure is from the soviet era along with their most prominent buildings.
When the youtuber guy speaks to these people they often say life was better under soviet rule. For example in Ukraine, all the nuclear power plants, were built under the soviet union.
That is not to say life was good. But if you live in places where buildings are falling down due to disrepair it is easy to see why a lot of people of ex soviet countries are somewhat nostalgic about life under the Soviet Union.
I think this is a failure again of the west. We provided aid to Germany, Poland for example to help them grow. But with a lot of the old bloc they lost the soviet union and nothing really replaced it.

Is that so?..well thanks for keeping me right. ![]()
It’s got less to do with what a president ‘‘told them to do’’ and more to do with patriotism, and pride…those who think ‘patriotism’ is a dirty word will probably never understand.
I reckon they are quite aware they have no chance of winning, by the shear numbers and the equipment the Russuan forces have in comparison to their own.but they would rather die than be occupied…(so yes Carryfast '‘Bravery indeed’…)
Any peace agreement is only going to be on Russian terms, as they hold the upper hand, Even if the President did tell them to surrender,.I’m sure there would be some kind of resistance movement formed irrespective of and in the face of the official State line and policy.

Great so why don’t all those former Soviet and WP states go back to re join Russia in the Socialist utopia and leave us out of it.
While there’s only one reason why a place that’s sitting on an ocean of oil and gas would want loads on nuclear power plants let alone put them in its best food producing region.
Nazis just like those who the Soviets Socialist scum helped to invade Poland.
This isn’t about Ukraine this is the Russia and China axis making its move on the west.
Who better than a ■■■■■■ POS KGB man to be the face of that.
