The fear with Corbyn was he was fiscally irresponsible, having john mcdonnell shadow chancellor didnt help.
In retrospect… Even I do not think Jeremy would of spent as much as this Tory government has lol.
Remember all the fear mongering? ‘JEREMY WILL BANKRUPT US’ LOL
I think he’s sympathies within terrorist organisations in the Middle East and Ireland as well as the perceived anti Semitism kinda disqualified him from credibility tbh if what we were led to believe was true, …then of course we had the Diane Abbot as deputy pm scenario.
As opposed to this startlingly competent Deputy PM.
Well, it would be peculiar if the deputy outshone her boss wouldn`t it?
How could Coffey actually provide any sense without making Truss look even worse?

I don’t buy any of that about him being sympathetic to terrorist organizations or being anti sematic. Despite how often the press ran with those headlines.
He was Pro-Palestine though, so he was always going to get those labels.
And at this point… I think Abbot would make a better PM lol.

Indeed Adam, the most profligate labour govt would have been hard pressed to ■■■■ as much borrowed money up the wall as the tories.
It bugs me so much the hundreds of billions they spent locking people down.
My brother was around 27 at the time. Perfectly healthy and worked for a charity shop. Yet, he must of spent like 8 months at home doing nothing while being paid by the tax payer to do so.
I just can not put into words how ■■■■■■■ moronic that is.
We must of lost around $2 trillion during lockdown. Around $400 in spending to pay people to stay at home and prob around 1.5 trillion in lost revenue, output, taxes etc.

Yep, a health minister who is by no means the picture of health herself, but at least she comes across with a modicum of education where as Abbot was/is clearly as thick as mince.
Imagine PM Corbyn being out of action during say a war of words with the likes of madcap Putin,…and who is there qualified and authorised to press the nuclear button?
Yep,.Diane ■■■■ Abbott.
Jeeeeez H.

Diane Abbott: educated in a state school, got a 2nd in history at Cambs.
Johnson educated at Eton, got a 2nd at Oxford.
Of course though, Johnson is far more articulate: youtube.com/watch?v=dBktY__3Wls
I couldn’t give a toss if she got a first class in her Cycling Proficiency test Frangers, I’ve got my own eyes and I’ll stand by what I said…she’s as thick as mince !
I agree btw your mate Johnson is more articulate yeh…so what’s your point?
Edit;
Ahh right I’ve just noticed one of your (in) famous links,.I normally ignore them but I watched that one,…ok I see what you are getting at.
If I could be arsed at all, I bet I could find a hell of a lot more links discrediting Abbott than I could Johnson in the stupidity stakes… but I’ll leave that one to you if you want to characteristically prove that you are right.

Well if I could be arsed, I bet I could find even more clips of Johnson being a very silly Billy.
And I`ll bet my Dad is bigger than your Dad, so there!

Who said Blair`s idea of the free access in 2004 was without effect? Not me.
“Cheap labour”? Labour supply does affect pay. The cheapest labour was ended by the Minimum Wage Act.
If it is too cheap today, it could be raised by the Gov.
Since some working full time get Gov aid, what do you reckon? Is it right that tax payers subsidise private profit making companies? Or do you follow the cries of “the free market decides”? When we are not in a free market!
Show us systematic incompetence in education and NHS.
NOT the Tory rags searching for odd cases of stupidity which are inevitable in any and all large organisations.
And WTF would anyone look at a Doctors surgery and assume that it is a good idea to have a qualified Medic spend their time arranging a cleaners hours or buying office supplies. Madness.
Pointing at “middle management” is as sensible as talking about “efficiencies need to be made”. The same old mantra needing no further thought.
Point remains that millions of extra people coming into the country legally and illegally over a period of time and at a much greater rate than natural population increase will have an effect on healthcare, schools and housing.

You’re one of those chaps like all of us who are influenced and swayed by the media, but unlike some of us you like to pretend, to others and maybe even yourself, that you aren’t. Like you I was totally taken in by the media hit jobs on Corbyn and Abbot, but then I saw the light. No one gets see anything with their own eyes, everything you think you know about her, Corbyn or anyone in the public eye is seen through a media filter, which is just how it is and long has been.
I also do not think Diane Abbott is dumb. Say what you want about her but you do not graduate from Cambridge if you are thick.
She is clearly not great at public speaking though, which often makes her look stupid. But, I’ve known many people like that who even when just chatting casually they struggle to get their points across. But when it comes to putting pen to paper they are far more adapt then most people.
But we as the general public prefer people who look smart and talk in such a way that makes them look clever lol. We do not tend to vote for introverted nerds.
May I ask you Rob what degree do you have?
To be honest I am sure you could run rings around her in a verbal debate. Think I’d still prefer her over you if I had to pick a leader though

Ok, but you can say that about any ■■■■■■■ thing that happens in the world that is reported.
Unless you are stood beside a subject how are you supposed to know what is wrong and what is right, apart from media sources of all types, good and bad?
All you can do is look at things from both opposite perspectives and make up your own mind what you think is right,.and attempt to detect the b/s…at the risk of ''mentioning the war ’ Basil , that you like to pick up on, ask anybody in Germany in 33 what sort of a guy Hitler was.

The Gov have many models about population growth. That includes births here, and migration in and out of the country.
The dropping of more barriers by Blair did indeed give an unexpectedly large blip. More people arrived than were expected.
Illegal immigrants last year were about 35,000, approx one twentieth, of one per cent.
(Non accounted for illegal immigrants (there are ways of estimating them though) don`t get to use hospitals etc.)
Hospital waiting times were still dropping after that time.
Covid has made a bad situation worse but the trend before 2019 is still very clear.
Just look at this simple graph and work out for yourself what is happening.
It isn`t made by a political party. statista.com/chart/27447/nh … ing-times/
Cancer wait times haven`t been met since 2014. Who you gonna blame for that?
Immigrants? Blair? Corbyn? Covid?
Or the people in charge before for letting it get that bad, and who failed to reverse the slide?
Franglais ladies and gentlemen…Trucknet’s very own Labour Party spokesman., publicist and spin doctor.
Is all this latest suff ftom you…Labour Party positives and Conservative Party/Boris negatives got really more (if not all) to do with your excessive dissatisfaction and preoccupation with Brexit?..still ?

You claim Dianne Abbot is dumb so I am curious
I mean she did achieve a 2:2 but that’s still pretty good considering it was Cambridge.

Absolutely.
We are all a product of our environment. But we can (or should) all recognise that we are being pushed in all directions by many forces. We can all try to see what is going on, and make a little effort to be rational.
