Of course they are, Philip Green still has to pay his own utility bills.

It should be sorted in a year / two when labour get in ( I’ll be voting for them ) as one of there mp,s has just said on box , there is no need to send anyone to Rwanda or any where , we have vacancies in this country that they could fill , any one who wants to come should be welcomed
I would hope though there would be some kind of checks , housing would be sorted out before they implement this policy , I assume it will be in next few years

What a load of naive woke ■■■■■■■■.

Where are they going to live when they get here then? We have a massive shortage of housing?1 bedroom flats offered at 650 a month is now the norm because of the over population we now face in England Wales and Ireland.

Wake up ffs

It’ll be fine, they’ll all muck in together…they can live 10 to a house :bulb: ,.
After all there are rarely families that come over, more young men of fighting age.
I can’t figure that one out.

That’s true, multiple occupancy dumps full of young blokes who send thousands of pounds out of the country. Great stuff

There`s a very big haulier in the Ilkeston area who has been doing that for years, they even used to provide them with bikes to get into work :open_mouth:

Lot’s of families are struggling because kids are staying at home until they are well into their 30’s, because the housing markets are simply unaffordable, yet here we have people like Dozy thinking we have an endless supply of houses. The typical stupidity of blinkered virtue signaling is exhausting.
When will these people wake up and see that we are full to bursting and lots of people flooding here do so for the benefits free rent in hotels and definitely not to drive bloody lorries, some do but most don’t and to be fair wages in the EU are on par with ours now.

It’s the same old story always has been
How do you think the country is full of different nationalities and I mean full, it’s because it goes back donkey years bringing people over to work when there is short supply
Question how hard is it for a EU citizen to get a Visa to work in the UK and how long would the Visa last, depending on the length of Visa would it be worth there while if they had to change all their licences and cpc
If needs must the government will adjust rules and regulations to suit themselves and flood the place
They always target the poor countrys and Ukraine would be up there if they get into the EU
The EU should be called the USSR-EU going by the amount of states that’s in it from that region
All good and well just look now at how much them countrys have come on
You would be hard pressed to get a person from Poland to work here now because the country is up there with the best

Sums it up really.

Why are we concentrating on whether or not foreigners should be attracted to UK driving jobs btw. :unamused:
Why do ‘‘they’’ not concentrate on Brits coming in to the job?
It was well attractive when the likes of me started it years ago.

Rhetorical question btw,.we all know the answer.

To do that they would need to adjust and generally sort out the ■■■■ poor terms and conditions in the job.

Starting with the ridiculous outdated excessive long hours you are allowed (and mostly expected) to work,.and the dubious pay rates attached to that.

Then stick to their promise (aye right :unamused: ) to sort out and improve the chronic parking shortage and lack of proper Century 21 facilities for drivers parking up.

Then add to the mix of policies practiced by the individual ‘crappy type firms ’ end of the job like micro management, driver facing cameras, and the ‘piece de resistance and creme de la menthe’’ Rodney :unamused: …drivers becoming insurance brokers and being expected to pay for damage .
So basically a whole cluster ■■■■ of issues (and reasons) as to why nobody with half a brain wants to enter the industry… it ain’t rocket science.

Improvement won’t happen, nobody cares so stand by for them continuing to bleat on about driver shortages (genuine or not) whilst at the same time doing the far end of f/all to sort it. :bulb:

We dont have enough houses because we havent been building enough. For years parties of all colours have acknowledged that we need to build more but they havent. . We arent “full to bursting” despite what drama queen`s like Farage and some papers try to tell us.
Germany has a similar density of population, Belgium higher, and The Netherlands about 40% higher. They actually build houses though. Most migrants stay in Europe. Many more refugees are in Germany than in the UK, although the whining, whinging, Tory press owners are still keeping billions from the UK treasury, but pointing the finger at the few thousand migrants getting off boats.

The Gov has a whole department looking for benefit fraud by the poor, but simply ignores the bigger furlough fraud by businesses.

As far as I can see for the last 5 to 10 years or so every spare bit of land around towns has been used to build new house estates, and especially in my area…just look around on your travels.
I on’t think for one second it is because of social conscience, but Iwould assume that it is a highly profitable business, especially with the artificialy inflated ‘value’ of a house which presently bears no resemblance to it’s actual VALUE in reality…

As for your opinion on immigration, we are a relatively small island, we probably aint to ‘‘bursting point’’ granted, but I would go as far as to say we are somewhere between adequately and overly populated as things are today.

If urbanisation was the solution then ‘Greater London’ would have the lowest house prices in the country.
The problem is incomes but feel free to expand London to the South and East Coast and then Northern France that’ll fix everything. But give those of us living in what remains of Surrey and Kent time to move out to the Welsh or Scottish borders first before starting on the new even greater London urban utopia.

What we see with our own eyes is not the full picture. We mostly deliver things where there are people who want those things!

There is more land between high and low tide than is actually built on in the UK!
5.9% of the UK is built on, but Woking has 11% of it`s land as golf courses!

Developers can make money by buying land and “sitting on it”. It simply inflates along with UK house prices. “Have your cake and eat it” springs to mind. No need to actually supply too many houses, just enough to keep the tame politicians happy. And always try to build some executive homes, rather than the starter homes that are actually needed. Councillors don`t want young families who need schools and Doctor surgeries, too much trouble.

bbc.com/news/uk-41901297

We don`t have too few drivers.
We have too few good jobs for them.

We don`t have too many people.
We have too few houses.

But I`m definitely not fat.
Just a bit under-tall.

What Rob said is spot on,I cannot add to that pal.

I think Franglais must be one of the rabid far leftists who thinks we have a perfect infrastructure with endless investors lined up to build houses in our green belt aan forests and anywhere really, seems I have rattled his cosey nest.

Look at the rspb what they are up in arms over at the minute with our own Government

plantbasednews.org/news/environ … on-nature/

Jeezus cripes these left leaning guys do not look at the future outcome of what the elites want.

supply and demand means further struggles for us all pal, while you act all virtue signally they laugh in your face.

My “cosey nest” is not peaceful at the moment, you are right.
Its reverberating with laughter at your post. Best laugh in ages. If it is a trial article for The Sun mentioning the RSPB isnt as good as a photo of ■■■■.

Of course we don`t have a perfect infrastructure. It is a Gov responsibility to help provide such. They are signally failing.
Private investment in such can be encouraged, and where it is failing then it is up the Gov to take the lead and provide it. That is their job as our servants. They are not there to help private investors make profits at our expense.

Do you want to retain green belts (where the elites already live in large plots) at the cost of more expensive and more cramped housing for the rest of us? Keep us in our place.
I say release enough of it to give us all a decent wee corner, and tough luck if the MPs and their cronies in the shires have me or mine as a new neighbour.

I am looking at what the elites want, and unlike apologists like you I don`t like it. You stick up for the establishment if you want, I choose not to.

The problem with providing a free utopia for thousands of immigrants is that you only encourage more, just what exactly is the max population of the country to be, 100 million, what happens over next 50 years when another few dozen million decide they too want in, and the percentage of net contributors paying for it all reaches net loss?
When will those who think the magic money tree is still in full flower be satisfied.

Spot on and hence why we now have over a thousand a day coming here illegally, they all have whatsapp groups sharing the info of the streets paved with gold in Britain.
I think after reading some of Franglaise and Dozy postings they must want endless immigrants to whittle their wages back down to stabart standards

Your obvious solution to the low quality of life caused by urbanisation is to build more of it in your laughable politics of envy crusade.
Let’s build some new towns in the Scottish and Welsh border regions and across under developed France.
As for elites it was the Tory Party that created Greater London taking out swathes of the surrounding counties to build it.It solved nothing and the Green Belt was put there for a reason.

In 2021, (migration watch figures) 35,000 illegal immigrants. (For the numerically challenged that is under 100 per day.) But since Priti Pattel`s £120 million investment, that rate has increased.
The rags and Farage report the summer days with boats landing, they forget the winter months with many fewer.

Illegal immigrants are prohibited from working here. Asylum seekers are prohibited from working here.
Wage suppression is a result of home grown employers, not your “bogey man” foreigners.

How does any of that address the serial failures of UK Govs to build houses?
35,000 illegal (extra) immigrants? Where are the 200,000 Tory starter homes? The illegals could have half a dozen each!
