UcanLGV - be careful

This is still only conjecture UcanLGV have the right of reply, and I am sure if they have nothing to keep from us will let us know who is behind the new company… after all if they want to be up front and open and provide a good service then there is no reason not to to is there ?

Out of interest, the page has now changed over the last few minutes - so there is now no evidence of a connection with Network that I am aware of.

They should be doing web design rather than driver training if changes can be made that quickly

Nice one Pete, I missed that link first time I looked, I’ve adjusted my complaints to include the address on that site, which is a virtual office btw.

Nice to know how important we are to them.

I am NOT implying anything here, but as an observation, and purely an observation, I suggest that you look at focushgv and compare the text…

Penman and Sommerlad have been active over the last week or two with the link between Haaris and his son Khawaja. The link between them all and the link between the offices, as well as the similarity of the text and poor spelling used in all the websites make me think my photo is relevant.

This lot is run by 24-year-old Khawaja Mahmood and claims on its website to have a partnership with major logistics company Blue Arrow for “recruitment opportunities”, but Blue Arrow denies the link.

Rikki - I know your hands are a bit tied but this is the UK premier forum for getting to the truth.

Tell the members the type of proof they need before posting. Proof that will not be deleted. Despite my own historic run ins it is time to clean the business up. Let this board make history and somehow get rid of all trainers that dont train.

If you think it is credible I will arrange a meeting with trainers and the board with the target of getting rid of this problem. I will also host and pay for this meeting.

The bigger the problem, the bigger the solution.

This is not conjecture nor is any link to be inferred it’s just a coincidence:

Some text at focushgv.co.uk who’s website appears to be hosted by Pathway Solutions LTD which is in liquidation, and the director’s (Foyzur Meah) other companies are dissolved.

Agree 100% with you John, this whole industry needs to be looked at under the microscope. There are not one or two, but dozens and possibly hundreds of posts on the internet, not just on TruckNet but everywhere on the net, made by people who have been deceived, lied to and misled, and dozens, if not hundreds of posts by people who have lost large amounts of money not through their own greed or stupidity but simply by trying, in desperate times, to provide for their families.

The claims are always the same- that there is a massive pool of well paying work to be had, with simply a few weeks training and for a few thousand pounds. Some pay this money and receive training, only to find out what we all know already- namely that it is currently extremely difficult for a highly experienced unemployed driver to find even low-paying work in the current climate. Many others receive no training at all as these companies fold with monotonous regularity, taking candidates’ training fees with them, only to start up again as phoenix companies almost immediately.

We have had one of these brokers registered on TruckNet attempting to defend his position, but refusing to even acknowledge questions about claims of the “driver shortage” and threatening legal action at any suggestion that he was trading unethically. He subsequently went bust, following the usual pattern, and this to my knowledge was at least the third company he had been involved with to have done the exact same thing.

I think that this has now been going on for long enough to say that there is a recognisable pattern, and any new broker starting up, particularly one in which the old faces are involved, is intending from the outset to follow this business model.

This is an absolute scandal, and if it was a scandal which ripped off little pink-haired old ladies it would have been addressed years ago. Because it affects generally working-class people aspiring to do a job which, although absolutely essential to the workings of society, is not held in high regard by the chattering classes, nothing is done about it.

It is time to do something about it, right is on our side, and if handled in the right way, TruckNet is the perfect organisation to spearhead a campaign to get this industry regulated and cleaned up for once and for all.

I have to agree with this, it is a scandal that this business model is allowed to continue, there are many people who see driving as a way forward, rose tinted glasses maybe, but ALL of the people I have spoken to who have lost money have all wanted the same thing, to better themselves and to gain employment. Many I have talked to have invested their hard found cash only to get nothing in return and hence lost every penny they had, lots have borrowed off relatives or friends and they are put in the degrading and humiliating position of having to tell them that they have been conned. Meanwhile the brokers close down and reopen under a different name shortly afterwards, and continue as before.

It is easy to look at Companies House web check and enter a brokers name, find out the directors and follow the history of the companies, it is easy to see that these people have been involved with many similar businesses that have closed down and a new one started. All that information is in the public domain…

However it is easy to get drawn in by the neat advertising and the smooth sales talk, it is afterwards with hindsight that the real problems of some brokers becomes apparent…

There are plenty of websites that show the problems associated with the dodgy brokers. canyoutrustthem.com is a good place to start. We are not talking about one or two disgruntled customers/clients there are scores of them, and how many have never complained?
I am sure that there are some brokers who do a good job, but… the dodgy ones will always damage the reputation of ALL brokers.

This business needs some serious regulation, it is getting wildly out of hand.

Oh the irony! People in glasshouses blah, blah, blah…you’re hardly the right candidate for something like this are you? Not credible just incredible! If something like this is to get off the ground the last thing it needs is to have its’ credibility undermined from the off by having you involved!

So 44 Tonne Ton perhaps you’re offering your time and money to try and get something done then. But I doubt it. If you have nothing positive to say then say nothing, much like you do NOTHING

I have a clear conscience about all I have done in the past. It is something you know very little about so dont go making hidden veiled allegations about me. I have never been a broker or had any dealings with any of them but I do know a lot about this industry so I offered to help with both time and money.

Perhaps it is easier for people like you to sit and hide behind a keyboard doing nothing except criticising people that do try. Grow Up.
