There i am just joined the M58 headin for the M6 only been on the motorway about 5 mins and clance in my mirror to see a silver/greyish merc unit flying up and 3 white shirted men in it, i instantly remember seeing a thread on here about this merc couple of days earlier, and restrain myself from pickin up my double choc cookie of the dash.
Within seconds hes next to me camera pointing and me i looked at him and smile with a quick nod to which it then flys of followed by a traffic copper.
Couple of mins dwn the road i a truck pulled of with a unmarked beamer with 2 plod gettinj out puttin there coats on.
My point is thanks to this site and the people on it givin me the heads up about this merc i would of been easily been captured stuffin my face at the wheel or worse.
So thanks chaps saved my bacon (excuse the pun)
I can only assume there doin the rounds m6,m58,m57,m62 ways. did not think i would ever c this goin round but u do so be warned and be alert!
saw this on granada news tonight they had pulled a lorry driver and interveiwed him on telly got caught filling in paperwork and messaging at the same time there must be a link somewhere
It was on north west news tonight, commentator says “we’re coming along side a driver not wearing a shirt, he’s getting 3 points”…WTF!! Then he says “cause he’s not wearing a seat belt”. Thought for one minute surely improperly attired doesn’t warrant a fine.
So they use a motor doing app 12mpg, followed by a car doing 40(ish) mpg, pay a total of 5 blokes wages just to catch some poor bloke not wearing a seatbelt, or taking a drink of water etc.

Sat in traffic today and watched an officer of the law guzzling water from a bottle while driving in the opposite direction. Ten minutes later I watched a panda car with a quite pretty smiling WPC chatting on her phone, not a radio, while in traffic.

I am sure in N Korea or any other extreme dictatorship governed countries they are not so zealous in the pursuit of non seatbelt wearers and unlawful Mars bar eaters as they are in the peoples republic of Great Britain.

Makes you ■■■■■■■ angry, we have the treat of being robbed every night yet how many times do you ever see a police car roll in to a layby, ind est area to check everything is as it should? I normally stay up late and never see ■■■■ all!
Has anyone actually been done for eating a mars bar at the wheel?
Dunno about a mars but I think some one got done for eating a Kit Kat dunno what offence but I’m sure they class it as Driving without due care and attention
