I’m not sure ‘’ i don’t think it does’’ if my new truck will have a tv in it. I’m wondering if i can fit a normal small household tv into the truck ■■?
Is there anything that restricts this? i just cannot bring myself to pay the large prices advertised for truck TV’s when i have many unused small flat screen TV’s knocking around.
hey buddy thank you for your reply, TBH i don’t know. i don’t start driving my truck until the 2nd… I was told it is not ready until the 2nd I don’t know if its the one currently not liveried with company decals■■? i think i was told one truck is not yet done… maybe this is why its not ready… The only thing i was told about was the fridge nothing else was mentioned. perhaps its the one you had?
I had the premium and then the t range neither had tv in and the fridges are crap. Every wagon he has does have hands free tho. The fm which needs a driver does have tv and fridge freezer thingy though mate. I’ve been led to believe that the premium and t range are taken and lad in fm moved on the new unit. He is getting the t range sprayed up and new light bars back door etc etc ready for Peterborough he does all the shows. If you really want a tv he will put one in. Just ask him.

maybe the T range or FM then i dunno. I’ll hold off a while before i start asking for ■■■■ like tvs and stuff lol Probably wont have any time to watch it anyway i’ll be too busy sleeping haha. hope i can take it to the show though
You’ll be at the shows mate no doubt just means only Sunday at home that week. Tbh the fm and t range are both decent trucks mate. More room in t range but imo not as nice to drive. The fm has a 500 which makes it so much easier. The t range will look the part once done. Either way good luck mate

You must work for a good co mate if you actually assume, or even think there’s a possibility of them speccing a tv in it for you .
I’ve never heard of any firms supplying tv.s, and I have worked for the excellent the good and the ■■■■ poor, but I suppose there’s a first time for everything.
Anyway there is no need to buy an expensive 24v truck designated tv, you can get a perfectly good cheap small flat screen from Tesco or Asda, and play it through an inverter plugged in to your dash, I 've done it for years.
I have a 16" flat screen TV, it has a socket for 12v power if needed, but I run it on regular household voltage using an inverter, all you need is an inverter that has a 300w requirement.
I thought i had heard it all…until this post…Will my new truck have a tv in it …sorry mate, but that has to be the worst question i have ever heard…it actually beats : How many hours can i work : etc etc.
Now to my question ; i have just bought a new 64 inch smart tv, and wondered if it will fit on the back wall of my Daf super mega spacecab automatic with hill start, it does have 12 spotlights already fitted, will this impede the tv connections ?

You i did not ask if my new truck would have a tv in it i asked IF I COULD FIT MY HOUSEHOLD TV INTO A TRUCK
If you don’t mind though i’d be more then happy if you could answer the question about the hours as i am totally clueless on what i can and cannot work… I can drive 6 hours without stopping right? but i must take a break after 4.5 hours of working and i can work 144 hours in a single week■■?

No you didn’t you asked if your new truck would have a tv in it, as I had the same thoughts…or am I also a moron?
Btw The guy you called a has maybe sat at traffic lights for longer than you have driven, and visited more countries (in a truck) than Michael Palin.
So maybe a bit more respect is called for eh mate??

Just remember the older drivers are old school and are always the first to help you out mate! Whether that’s directions or watching you in spaces. Not having a pop but these guys will more than likely show you the most respect too. Or at least that’s what I’ve found

When I started in this job, the help I got from older experienced drivers was invaluable.
It has got to the stage where I am now in that category, (athough I still have a bloody long way to catch up with Truckyboy) I still see a couple of the guys today, who helped me, who are now getting on a bit, and I willingly still buy them a pint.
I will, and do, help any new driver as much as I can, but avoid the knowall smartarses who think they know better, even though they have done absolutely ■■■■ all like crabs.
I just think the o/p’s attitude was ott and out of order, especialy as the post did say what was disputed by him in the first place.
