Gavin McArdle:

From the left John Bibby (Biggles)from Macclesfield - Me - R& G ,probably Steve Holland - Pat (Lucking ?) - Mervin Pierce (merve the swerve) Pat used to do R&R for Mike Keedweel (Euromat was going to look out some pics) Merve is still doing a bit of distibution for DT’s out of Avonmouth He’s about 70 now!

.
Is this the same John Bibby that use to run a blue & silver Mercedes artic back in the 70’s on tipper work around Buxton, it always looked too smart for the quarries … then he put it on tanker work.

Who was the International Haulier that had a couple of lorries based on a small Ind Est in Heaton Mersey, Stockport back in the 70’s. (I’ve a feeling they may have had links with a bigger set up in Ireland.) The Stockport premises they had also use to produce these Trantor’s, a cross between a Transit and a tractor that were surposed to do an easy 70 mph.

Does anyone have any pics of the black & gold-band, “Helmark” wagons that did some International work from Manchester in the 80’s. They had a Transcontinental and a Merc SK.
