still waiting for mine too, & I ordered it 2 weeks ago on Wednesday not a very good service, I wish I’d have gone to smiths & got a copy
not impressed at all, rang on Monday & they said it had been dispatched & still not received it
they’re quick enough to take the money
Who did you ring Tetragaz? as far as I know its only on sale in shops not by mail order !
Would that be the same Chris Arbon that took a “young” lady to Rumania as a guide/interpreter while he was working for Archer

Yes it is. Only the trip was to Poland and the lady was a pensioner.
I think Truck and Driver should have three LDDs in each issue; it is always the first thing I turn to. They could have one from the UK, one from Europe and one from the rest of the World. I’m sure it would boost circulation.
Come on Chris you could always pass on Fred’s question on your return, obviously you did have a certain reputation lol
Just thought I would make my comments on the NEW Best of truck.
I thought the late MR PHILLIP Llewellin had a very interesting job that I was never aware of.
I never read any type of truck magazines in the 1970/1980s, as the rule back then for drivers employed in large companies were union rules , more money per hour ie = time and a half for Saturday, 4 hours pay for running in that was the way it was, double for Sunday, as rare as hens teeth, ALL KINDS OF ,well less work for more money and that was the trend.
Do not forget there was lots of physical work back then. HOWEVER a few of the readers on here now were back then thinking of being a owner driver either they had some ground, or family money, or parents in small haulage to help. normally run of the mill drivers like I was did not ever think or dream of being a owner driver because licences parking ,all manor of things .
SO ALLL THE READING STORIES [in my opinion] back then would have been to me, why would you want to work all hours god sent for what, never any mention of money ,and be fair that what it was all about .However the reading was enjoyable today and I would recommend it. sat in a nice chair.
