Truck stops - are these still in business?

It is now the Pit Stop cafe truckstop off junction 5 off the M5 for Bromsgrove, new showers and the food is excellent from pasta, steaks, and casseroles .
Fills up by 18.00 but if you have an account, you can reserve a parking space.
Swindon is a joke with the long time for so called refurbishment which made no difference to the dump of a truckstop.
Inedible food, rude staff chat on their phone too busy to serve you.
So called chef tipped a whole pot of pepper in my meal .
Drivers buy real food from Sainsbury next door.
Got myself some baguettes and brie/camembert cheese.
Truckers rest Cannock, good food and friendy staff but dust bowl parking .

The Sunnyside café was just of the M5, got some kind of hotel/travel lodge type thing there now. the Pit stops about 1 mile up the 38 aint it, that was just a garage til a few years after the Sunnyside shut. IIRC started off as a snack van at the back of the HGV fuel pumps, unless I’ve got my bearings completely wrong

Was in the Hollies for the first time in Years on Monday night, wow hasn’t that changed, not a lot of dust there, all concrete road ways, with that rail bed type stone for parking on, clean and tidy inside too  think Truckers rest will lose a few to there

When the Hollies fills up, Truckers Rest acts as an over flow parking, it used to be limited parking but now they have got much more space .
The Pit Stop is on the A38 by the big garden centre .

Oakdene still open but limited parking. Thursday nights a bit of a problem as it’s a motorcycle meet place and gets totally rammed with them

Are you sure■■? My mate knowing this was a massive favourite of mine when I was on the road told me only this week that it has closed down.
Kates Cabin is still alive and kicking

yes still open had breakfast in there yesterday

Hollies looked like it had a lot of space now too. The Pit stop is what I was thinking, Might pop in there next time I need parking down that way, think its on Snap

As mentioned, Caenby Corner is still up and running. £15 on Snap Acc including a £5 meal voucher, and unlike most places you can actually get a meal there for a fiver.

It’s my preferred stop in that area.

There is one that is off the A15 at the top end, never been as our lot don’t pay night out money if you’re within an hour of the yard.

The Pit Stop off J 5 M 5 does not take Snap, the parking is £ 16.90 with a £3.50 meal voucher and there some eateries on the main road coming in .
Their overflow parking was by the fishing lake next door but now no more due to a fall out with the padlocks on the gates and drivers being locked in .

How many truck stops/transport cafes are there that open 24hrs a day? Why not try the Red Beck Motel 2 miles south of Wakefield on the A638 towards Doncaster.Hot meals or snacks all day and night. The place never closes.Even Christmas Day.Access by A638 from Doncaster(there is a 14ft.bridge 200 yards south)or A655 from M62 Jct31 or return via M62 Jct.32 or M! Jct 41 or 40 to travel south. Some of our number may find it tricky with it being off the dual carriageway plus it is bound to add some time to your day! However,it is well worth the visit.I don’t have shares in the place,my wife and I go there regularly for a well cooked meal served very quickly.
