Truck stopped on M25 and driver suspected to be stoned

RoadsRat:
Shouldn’t the question be why are professional drivers unable to drive in a straight line?

Answer; because some lines go round roundabouts  TAXI

RoadsRat:
Yes, you’re right (laziness on my part).

I should have added, why are some professional drivers…

Exactly.

A YOUNG Shetland police officer faces losing his career after being convicted for drink driving at Lerwick Sheriff Court on Wednesday.

Jonathan Mustard, whose address was given as care of Lerwick police station, admitted driving to work in his car on 8 October last year over the limit for alcohol in his blood.

He has been suspended since the offence and is now subject to an internal disciplinary hearing.

The court heard that the 21 year old turned up at the police station on Market Street the morning after a night out thinking he was fit for duty.

His supervising officer was not so sure and after hearing he had driven to work he had his blood checked, finding 96 miligrammes of alcohol in 100 mililitres of blood, just above the limit of 80.

What’s your point? You get bad apples in all careers.

If you think I’m going to defend those imbeciles, you’ll have a long wait.

You must agree that him who did 140mph on the A1 is as thick as mince showing off to a prisoner what the car can do when it’s obvious he would get found out.
Did he not think that a prisoner would be more than happy to grass him up to his superiors? :unamused:

No I’m not, truck drivers are nowhere near as bad…

Many years ago was stopped on motorway, in my tipper, lorry given the once over got a “producer” took my documents to the police station(in the days before our local was sold to become “the old police station” apartments for the upwardly mobile) young WPC on the desk(in the days when there were proper coppers you could speak to) “were you involved in an accident or incident of any kind on the motorway” me no! why do you ask? she said routine stops should never be carried out on the hard shoulder I will take this further as is very unsafe to do so!

I’ve already said in this topic that I don’t condone his actions. Foolish and stupid.

Yes of course, the entry tests and requirements for truck driving are well known to be difficult.

Yes, a driving assessment is just like a language and numeracy test.
