Looking at your image you are limiting the space for others to get out. There appears to be space at the back so use it.
If you blocked me in, you would be getting a bang on the door when I was leaving.
As for legalities, it’s private land and they don’t have to allow you on. Tacho rules state you MUST park up at the next available place - get the plods to sign a printout and move on if required.

I reckon you could probably still get done for tachograph infringements because you knew you was parking illegally when you stopped so could expect to be moved on.

Also, apropos of nothing, , if you take (not mug) something of someone’s, excluding their car, and promise to return it within a specific timeframe, there is nothing the police can do

I can “borrow” your lawnmower, and assuming I dont damage it, promise to return it in say two days, and there is nothing you can do about it!

Yes they signed it. I phoned them up on the way and they said there was space. No I’m not dim far from it. All I wanted to do was park safely is that too much to ask. I wasn’t blocking anyone as you can see. I won’t be going there again. Police said he could arrange to have me towed even if I was in the truck
if things had’nt changed and you got clamped the police would’nt of got involved saying it was a civil matter but they bloody will now though

As you won’t be able to start at 05:15 now I’m heading from home to go to work at about 06:00 I could give you a knock if you like. I’ll be heading home again after work at 07:20 if you want a later alarm call.
