A more comfortable place for your elbow on the door of a scania ,also hot water and small sink like the ones a mobile mechanic has I think this would be a great idea hard to beat a bit of a wash after a long shift and suffering from white line fever, also why don’t trucks have those full long mirrors like a bus.and thicker mattreses although daf I think has a great mattress.
The speedo in a volvo is always part obscured by the steering wheel… same in their cars!
Never understood why decent flat surfaces weren’t a prerequisit of cab designers, if DAF can do it since 1987, why couldn’t the others! A prime example of this was the Mk 1 Magnum. Design a ground breaking truck, then put in ever so slightly raked surfaces. why the hell they never made the top of the ashtray totally horizontal with perhaps a non-slip surface, i’ll never know.
Faster window motors in dafs .takes to long to go up or down ,volvo is great straight up and straight down,
Another point for volvo!
Here’s one,why are dolly wheel handles on passenger sides of trucks ?
The new Actros heated seat switch. Knock it every time I get in, and I’ve not got a big arse… Got a sweaty one ten minutes later mind…
A mistake if ever there was one,a dual mass flywheel between a truck engine and box, mercedes are guilty of this
The lip on the floor of the CF cab; Hard to sweep or wash mud out.
06 plate DAF 7.5 t ,no cup holder and the most ridiculous position of the tachograph i have ever seen .Low down next to the drivers door so you smack it with your knees entering or exiting the cab ,it is a cd type analogue one and the draw is always getting smashed off by the drivers but it is the only place to put it .Having to push the seats right forward to lower the bed leaving no room at all and the night heater vent only heats the back of the drivers seat because the bed is so tight to the seat

Interesting no-one’s got a bad word to say about Volvo
All right. The seats give me backache, as their designed for someone with either a slimmer waist or larger arse than I’ve got.
You’ll be pierced in more than one place attempting to get on to the bunk.
They wheelspin if you try and pull away at anything higher than stall speed…
They’re not made by an indigenous company.

Yeah, always seems to be on number 1, even though I turned it off 10 mins ago, climb out, back in, it’s on 1 again

Yep tacho placement. Also in the older Renaults. And the Volvo FL/FE/premium/Midlum the cup holders are not deep enough for a pop bottle, the minute you corner or hit a pothole the suckers fall out.
Axor … the older ones had a sun visor that went 2/3rd the length of the windscreen on the passenger side so you could easily pull it down. The newer axor has 3 seperate visors and the furthest one away on the passenger side you cant reach whilst driving. Also no driver window sun visor. You can swing the visor round but it only covers half the window. And seats are uncomfortable and there is that blooming great engine hump in the middle that twists your ankle if you try to rest your left foot on the floor.
Same probs with the MAN TGA. can’t reach the passenger sun visor whilst driving and whilst the cab is roomy there is next to no storage space.
A 240V plug socket should be built in as standard as well as the 24v and 12v socket
Also, all trucks … in fact all vehicles … should have heated screen wash nozzles and tubes so you can wash your screen in sub zero temps.
AD BLUE SYSTEMS NOT FIT FOR ROAD USE TO EXPENSIVE TO FIX,TO MANY 10 LTR PLASTIC CONTAINERS LAID AROUND TOGETHER WITH THOSE PLASTIC CAP RETAINERS THAT GET AROUND BIRDS NECKS AND KILL THEM…WHAT A CON
Iveco - erm…the only bit that works properly is… it keeps the rain out…

not for long as i could swear its made of metal so thin it it changes shape on windy days
just what i like to see, not to many bad words to say about volvos, the dogs betty swollox in my opinion
Any truck with no nearside rear side window. Helps no end with blindside reversing. Can’t understand why you wouldn’t want one.

The position of the night heater switch on the Renault Premium. If you lean over for any reason, you find out that you are very hot ten minutes later.
I know exactly what you mean.
Volvos are the same , you either knock them down are turn them up
Kerbdog:
Off hand and from recent experiences… another cup holder one would be the cup holder in the Daf Xf door . What’s the thinking behind that ? everytime you close the door you end up with tea all down the upholstery. Also the ashtrays in the man never stay shut.
Man had this idea too
Why dont we write too these companys and tell them the flaws, instead of telling some shiny arse fleet engineer’s who dont give a toss.
Plus the cup holder in the new fm, waste of time i have to pack rags around the front to keep my travel mug in it

Nobody listens to drivers.
