Off hand and from recent experiences… another cup holder one would be the cup holder in the Daf Xf door . What’s the thinking behind that ? everytime you close the door you end up with tea all down the upholstery. Also the ashtrays in the man never stay shut.
renaults mistake was making motorised vehicles. they could correct their mistakes and just disappear

man curtains too small.
Oh yes this is really annoying the curtain rail needs to be at least another 4 inches longer at both ends, if I had the same truck all the time I would black out those stupid little side windows.

Bahahaharrrrr… that genuinely made me laugh.
Scanias utter lack of ergonomic thought switch wise…and the fact that the central locking can lock if you shut the door with a bit of vim…
Renaults lack of understanding how vehicle electrics work…
MAN’s inability to design a decent auto box…
Mercedes Axor - why bother building a truck if it’s going to be so ■■■■■■
New DAF - OK but welcome to 90’s trucking
Iveco - erm…the only bit that works properly is… it keeps the rain out…

The Axor !+1 i had the misfortune of driving one this week …what a pile of ****
Yes, I drove one a 61 plate for the first time last week, at first I thought ah a manual box I’ll enjoy this (haven’t driven one for years) how wrong, it was the slowest awful change, a 4 over 4 with an across the gate range change which had me beating the synchromesh quite often. I never found a comfortable seat position, on it’s lowest setting I was looking through the very top of the screen and the mirrors seemed like an afterthought. I have heard guys on here bleating on about getting backache with them, I can see why it was like going back to drive a 70’s truck, except they had better gearboxes then.
Think Mercs dropped a clanger with this one, the actros is in a totally different league.
The silly useless ‘cool box’…either make it a fridge or dont bother at all!

Night heater pipe in a Scania always get broken/ripped apart as it’s in the storage locker.

I did point this out back in 2007 when I met this guy

The lack of gutter between windows and roof of a 105 super space, so when it rains whilst stationary the water gathers on the roof, u pull away and all the water comes in the window if its open!
I know the answers-shut the window, but this not always possible if reversing and don’t stop when it’s raining!
MAN 8.163
Switches for Heated mirrors, dash light brightness, tail lift isolator and box light on passenger side.
Well, until I got in there one Saturday with my tool box.
Although I like the DAF CF, there are 2 things that really ■■■■ me off…
Access to the dipstick for a manual oil check being somewhere that you actually need to tilt the bloody cab just to do it.
Partition on side window which obfuscates a good clear 100% view of o/s mirror.
Interesting no-one’s got a bad word to say about Volvo

I only had 2 minor niggles with the FH, the seat padding was a bit thin, which might be because I’m a big guy or it was a fleet spec truck ?
The other was that the mirrors were one hell of a blind spot, other than that it was ok.
Top marks for the exhaust brake and the I shift box.

Volvos are OK. No truck is perfect (and the Volvo isn’t either), but it is generally OK without serious errors.
Well, mostly.
TBH I can’t say any truck really appeals completely. They all have there little issues one way or another.
When you see all the glossy brochures from all truck makers, they all paint a picture of crunching the miles through different countries in comfort and style…How many of us have to manfacture things to make it a more liveable space? I always have to find somewhere to bet a bungy cord so I can try and dry a towel. How many put tables in so they can get a flat enough surface to balance more than a mug on?
It would appear the nearest most designers get to a truck is drawing one!
the lack of cup holders in my scania, also the bit down by the seat hard to clean out, you seem to chase the dust about with a air gun. wont have that problem soon changing to a actros
Cruise control switches on the Renault Midlum. On the centre console, most useless position ever.

Premium has these too but has more usable ones in the steering wheel, between the spokes on the left for + and - and on the right for resume and cancel.
Mr Magoo invented the curtains in MAN cabs, only had to make the curtain go a few more inches on both sides, i pull mine shut then have to faff around to get that perfect closure, i dont want any pervs looking in while im in the noddy or wake up with something that only men get for the whole world to see.
The curtains falls off the railings, very cheaply made.
