noticed it at our depot, alot more females arriving, so what are they seeing were not, we see long hours, crap pay,h+s ■■■■■■■■ etc, just listening to our young lads none want to stay in it long term, so what are these attractive young ladies seeing were not 
A job sitting on your arse all day, eating junk when you want, on the phone to your mates, nobody knowing and no boss hanging over your shoulder!
Sounds like were in the ideal job for women if you ask me! 
but i would hate to be the victim of road rage on a certain date when she is driving that 40t truck

I have 2 female drivers that work for me & we export hanging meat !!!
Can’t fault either of them, they tend to get less greif when late for deliveries by fluttering their eyes !!!

They’ve been fed the …its traditionally a macho job…routine, and…you can easily do it yourself, you are as good as anyone else…blah,blah,blah… You’re as good as a man, etc…Only thing is you don’t even get treated as human !!! They neglect to tell them that, oh, and the pays crap !!!
Whilst i’ve been off sick i happened to watch Loose Women and Denise Welch is going for her HGV because she’s fed up with Tim Healey telling her “that if you were an HGV driver you wouldnt have done that”.
N.B. i was watching this whilst doing the ironing and thinking of something for to have for tea,see blokes can muti task!!!
hi guys.i read this with interest.over the last 35 years i have seen a few women driving trucks in places as rare as turkey,marrocco.and u.s.s.r.however it was always quite a rare site.in the late 80s and 90s my late wife spent 12 years driving together with me everywhere.this we done for the reason that it was good for us,and good for the companies.in the last 10 years it has become easier for women to consider driving trucks due to the improved quality of vehicles and the fact that most loads are now moved with machines and not handballed any more.also curtainsiders makes life easier.i live above the arctic circle in lappland and i drive a volvo fh16,660 automatic,4axle tipper in the iron ore mine in gällivare.up here it is common to see women driving the heavy trucks and bucket loaders,caterpillars,diggers,etc.this is partly because they can earn good money but mainly because there is a shortage of people up here.in the mine alone about 30 percent of the people are women.ther are two driving schools in gällivare for trucks and heavy machines and maybe 40 percent of the students are women.all the best mike

it is common to see women driving the heavy trucks
In your day and certainly my days in the Eastern Bloc it was also very common for women to handball the heavy loads onto the trailer while the blokes sat around or occasionally counted the tyres, boxes, bags or affixed the custom seals
