How can a trade magazine report on wages and working conditions if it doesn’t know how much people are being paid and what they’re having to do for their money? And how can it then go on to report whether things are improving or getting worse if it doesn’t know what they were like last year? The answer is obvious - it can’t.
We’ve decided the only solution is to start doing an annual survey, and this seems like the most obvious place to start the ball rolling. The survey can be completely anonymous if you wish, but if you leave an email address (which we promise NOT to use for any other purpose) we’ll enter you into a draw to win £50-work of Amazon vouchers after the survey has closed.
A test run makes us think it should only take 10 minutes to complete the survey, but allow a bit more in case the questions aren’t clear. If you do discover a dodgy one, please post and I’ll go back in and try and sort it - this is the first time I’ve done one of these so I’d be very surprised if I haven’t muffed the job up at some point along the line!
The survey will run until Sunday 8th May, and I’ll get our family dog to fish a draw winner out of a bowl of biscuits on Monday 9th May.
Thanks all!
