South Yorkshire Police said they had no record of the incident
Odd that.
And why did they mirror image the picture of him behind the wheel?
Not odd at all. After all it is South Yorkshire Police we are talking about. They had no record of 100s of girls being raped and sexualy abused by Asian gangs in Rotherham, no record of brutality at the Battle Of Orgrave and falsifying statements or no record of lying through their back teeth over Hillsbrough.
We are talking about the most incompetent police force in this country.
& didn’t they interview the Yorkshire Ripper half a dozen times over a few years, allowing the Nutter to carry on with his killing spree ?
No I’ll give them their due on that one. It was them that actually caught him during a routine traffic stop in Sheffield.
If I’m not mistaken he was with a prostituite in the car and they found the hammer he used during the attacks.
Don’t stick up for them too much Steve, there was a program about the ■■■■■■ a few weeks ago & here’s an extract from Wikipedia-
“West Yorkshire Police were criticised for the time they took in apprehending Sutcliffe, despite interviewing him nine times during the murder hunt.” [emoji1409][emoji380][emoji375][emoji879]
The lorry driver did a first class job of protecting the person in the car.
The couple of people complaining about being held up should be strapped in an overturned car in the middle of a busy motorway and left there for an hour or 2
Good on the bloke! However we have here another case of broken Britain shame on the general public.
And there was a bloke on here who used to continually slag off ex squaddies.
chester:
I asked the forum what they though a hard shoulder was for? as expected no constructive replies we’re forthcoming.
That’s because I, and probably a lot of others think you’re a ■■■■…
And as we can all play the game of being condescending ■■■■■, I’ll ask you what the difference between “we’re” and “were” is?
As for the truck driver, top bloke!
My only slight concern is that backing up the traffic MIGHT have delayed the emergency services more…
But that’s a lose/lose argument where there probably isn’t a right answer!

Truck drivers having their breaks on the hard shoulder would more than likely delay emergency services perhaps!

Why would someone even start being a grammar ■■■■ by starting the first sentence of a paragraph with the word And?
Evil8Beezle:

Yep, ill second that
chester:
Why would someone even start being a grammar ■■■■ by starting the first sentence of a paragraph with “And”!
Starting a sentence with “and” is acceptable if it links the previous sentence so technically Beezles post is gramatically correct
The-Snowman:

No it’s not.
In any case a new paragraph does not link a sentence.
I refer you to a paragraph
“a distinct section of a piece of writing, usually dealing with a single theme and indicated by a new line, indentation, or numbering.
“the concluding paragraph””

Its a common misconception that the word And cant start a sentence. It can.
Ill concur regarding the use of it to start a new paragraph but I think you’re grasping at straws to save face based on his line spacing. It clearly is a follow up of his original statement.
But whatever helps you sleep at night.

Can you even start a sentence with But?
Typical forum traits showing up here, when the debate is lost, always check for spelling,
as you have nothing else to offer.

Im not critiseing anyone’s spelling. My own is not perfect.
All I said was you can start a sentence with “and”.
Oh and BTW, you can start a sentence with “but” as well
Can you start a sentence with a capital B though, in instances of the word but?
Genuine question for the grammar Nazis?

You think Iam grasping at straws? Who’s picking folk up for their ability on spelling.
Are you that confident yourself and Evil won’t make a spelling mistake on this forum again?
Instead of being a grammar ■■■■ on TNetUK would you fancy your chances on lawNetUK? picking on a truck drivers punctuation!
Have a word with yourself!!!
chester:

Not me. All I did was point out you’re wrong to say you cant start a sentence with the word “and”. Not once have I insulted anyone’s spelling. Stop making stuff up.

See the quote below of something I wrote not 20 minutes ago
The-Snowman:

If you’d read things properly the first time you’d maybe not be looking like such a ■■■ who has to resort to making stuff up
chester:
Be a grammar ■■■■ on lawNet UK by all means, but you won’t will you?
Im not being a grammar ■■■■. All I did was point out that you were wrong. You can start a sentence with a conjuction.
Classic forum trait. When losing the argument, make stuff up
What part of this thread is about spelling?
Why have you and Evil decided you had nothing left in you to offer, than to pick on the OPs spelling.
Maybe if the thread was about a finalist of Blockbusters who achieved three Goldruns, then halts motorway traffic on route to the Mastermind finals. Then spelling may be a factor in this thread. (Incidentally who also won a Bendy Bully in a previous TV apperence)“citation needed not sure if spelt correctly”
I shall open a post about grammar Nazis tomorrow. We can check each other’s spelling in that one.
Yet, I ain’t got points to score!
If picking up spelling mistakes on a forum frequented by truck drivers is your thing, then who am I to stand in your way.
Trucker did the right thing. I did something similar, I blocked the road to give an ambulance clear access to it, and got a torrent of abuse off the drivers I’d blocked. This confirmed my opinion that the general public are cockwombles.
Spelling and grammar, who cares as long as it’s understandable.
Chester, you come on here looking for an argument, and no doubt you started rubbing your ■■■■ when you got one. FFS, if you’re going to troll, at least offer some entertainment a la Glory Boy.

Lol
Jesus Chester this is poor even by your standards.
Go round and round in circles, repeating the same thing and think its clever wind up techniques?
Poor show from such an obvious antagonist.
