if ive missed somthing please feel free to correct me i read t&d every so often i used to buy it every month all the way back from 86 .fleet focus ,im sorry but if you go for a job at a firm featured in fleet focus based pureley on what is written in a magazine then then quite frankley your a muppet cuz as has already been said for reasons of being sued t&d could not report bad things said about a company.most companies will put forward the names of the blue eye,d boys to make sure they get a good report.as for the price of t&d im not bothered if theres somthing of interest to me i,ll buy it if not i,ll leave it on the shelf no one makes ya buy it .

We are pleased to announce that yet again Truck & Driver, your favourite monthly trucking maghas again shown its continued support for drivers and this website.
Reed Business Information, T&D’s parent company have renewed the sponsorship of this forum for yet another year,
Truck & Driver were our first major sponsor way back in the dim and distant past , and have been with us ever since, without their support TruckNet UK would never have grown to be the #1 website for the professional driver in the UK.
So huge thanks are due to Dave, Chris, Sandra and the whole T&D team… and who knows what the best truck magazine and the best truck website can achieve in the future working together…
To get back to the topic…
To answer Mr Flibble, we approach Fleet Focus drivers as individuals not through their company so as to try and avoid placemen.
On the request (in this and other threads) for pictures of attractive young girls we did flirt (bad pun, sorry) with this a while back to gauge reader reaction. In particular my impoverished student niece was bribed to pose as a US truckstop ■■■■■■.
Not only did sales not go up (and we do have to make money to survive, hence al those annoying ads) but a number of readers, male and female, wrote in to say, very politely, this is not what we want from T&D, it makes us feel uncomfortable and damages a family orientated mag.
That is so true as the german mags also used to have scantly clad
young ladies as a pullout poster this is now a long and forgotton as
the age of the readers does vary down to the very young and as mentioned before it did not sell more mags.
