Hi all watch out parking here I was awoken this morning at 0330 by some ■■■■ try to get in my container two of them late 30 early 40 on the chubbi side chased them in to the trees police did turn up quick just keep your eyes open.
I was there last night they opened my door and never closed it properly I never even heard anything did the police turn up because of that the guy I was next to said there were police about in the night.
Yeh they came very quick I think it’s because I had seen them at it
the police ought to have been there sharpish - they have a little station there dont they. cheeky thieving scum - i was onve told by an insurance loss adjuster that services are’nt safe, the mentallity being if your prepared to pay for parking you’ve got something worth nicking. you just cant win!!

Was thinking it was trowell that had the small police station near the exit but i couldnt remember if it was trowell or tibshelf but says a lot , alway handy to have cab tilt bar in cab should some dirty thieving swine try have a pop , its gettingto commen now and as recall a easten european driver got killed down on the A1 by such idiots as run him over
I cant remember when services was good safe place and if driver next to you heard anything everyone would get out and confront them but these daysits the driver next to you slashing your curtains i no jc29 had big issue with this around year ago
I had my big mag light so if anything happened I stood a chance but we should be aloud to shoot the buggers

I park in laybuys which I think I should stick to I was trying to get further up the road but trafic cost me time so had to stop and there was maritime lads there and there are very picky on parking but its done now il have a baseball bat next hehe

In Europe you can buy CS knock out gas at all truck stops and motorway areas, it is legal there but classed as a weapon in the Uk, when shipping back and forth on the ferries i would hide a can down my under crackers in case of a cab search by the UKBA.
Rather silly i know, but one night while sat in a boat building yard in 45 degree heat in near Jerez/Seville in Spain, the large mosquitoes were giving me a hard time so i gave the cab a few rounds and squirts of this CS tear gas.
I became quite ill on the way back to the Uk, and checked myself in to a hospital to get checked out from the effects of my “mozzy spray.”
By the way, the mozzers did die, in case animal lovers are reading this.

When I first started going in to the US from Canada four years ago I wondered why truck, load and diesel theft was almost non-existant, apart from the more notorious gangland cities such as Detroit or Atlanta and why most American car drivers dont give you rude hand signals if they feel aggrieved that you’ve done something to upset them. The answer to this question is also why many American drivers refuse to cross the border in to Canada, they are not allowed to take their fire arms with them. Yes, many American drivers carry a gun in the cab and it does say something when trucks with their valuable loads and fuel are left alone, in a country that is considered to be much more dangerous than the UK.
Now we’re not allowed to have guns in the truck in Canada, or to take guns over the border but most Americans dont know that and they certainly dont know the difference between a US and Canadian truck. Of course the downside is that if some gang bangers do actually decide to rob a truck, they will be armed.
I dont think arming people in the UK is necessarilly the answer, what is needed is proper parking facilities and much more of it and proper security at those places. In the state of Florida for example, all interstate rest areas have government funded armed guards that patrol from sunset to sunrise due high crime levels against trucks several years ago.

Whats the general feeling of guns in canada compared to the US? Are you allowed to conceal carry?
It shouldnt come the point where we need to be armed but how do you go about defening yourself in this country, the laws in this country seem to favor the criminal, the fact that if someone breaks into your home your allowed to do nothing more than ask them to leave or face a prison sentence if you kick them down the stairs and its the same with people nicking loads out of trucks you cant do nothing about it, calling the shower of ■■■■ that is the police service in this country isnt going to do much.

I quite agree if they were breaking into your house.I just don’t think it’s worth endangering your life for whatever you may be carrying in the back of your truck
