Drivers that acknowledge/thank me for flashing them in . . . when I haven’t.
Its Sarcasm… as in “Thank you for flashing me in…NOT”
Maybe the sarcastic one wasn’t flashed in, because he wasn’t far enough ahead, to be flashed in.
So, in some cases he must be not only someone who cuts in too early, and is totally unaware of it, but also conceited enough about his own correctness to try go find fault in others.

Glad I ain’t like that.

I’ve given up flashing in during the day, nobody acknowledges it anyway…
And I don’t flash DHL pulling deckers at anytime as they do what the bloody hell they want anyway…

What about no maintenance on sliding roof trailers , you can push and pull it but it won’t budge and you bend your pole .
Remember the tilt trailers, stripping them down then rebuilding it , great fun in European summer or a freezing winter , and don’t forget the wooden side boards .
All that above in the past, and stuff in the present I mentioned earlier, ie no greasing of curtain rails and internal strap tracks have totally [zb] ed up my upper arms.
The left arm is the worse which I put down to changing gears on old trucks in the old days, and steering koois constantly every day on my previous job.
This job has took it’s toll on me…I’m not a well man … if I was a horse I’d be out to pasture, but I’ll soldier on.
If you were a horse you’d be shot in the head and made into dog food

Trivial things that wind you up that shouldn’t. For robroy it’s me.
Don’t flatter yourself bud, to ‘wind me up’ it would need for me to take you seriously.
Your post should read ‘Trivial things that amuse you that shouldn’t…etc etc.’’
That’s what?..3 or 4 mentions of me by you in the same amount of threads?
You need to just disregard me mate, I sense I am getting to you…just saying.
toonsy:
Previous drivers who wind curtains all the way onto the back (or front) pole leaving nothing on the other end.
When I did curtain-siders that’s often because the ratchet is knackered at the other end leaving you with no choice.
It wouldn’t wind me up in that instance.
However I had a full load to offload through the side so had to undo both ends, and then after centralising the curtains using the guide lines (which must be difficult ) when doing it all back up confirmed they did work front and back and that the previous user of that traiker must’ve been a ■■■■.

Yup, worst when you’ve got 4 pallets on the arse end for someone and you’ve got to undo all your curtain so you can release the curtain tensioner.
Same with those trailers that just have a tensioner at the front, what’s that all about.
There’s a fine art in getting the front ratchet set just right so that you can seat the rear lever without it leaving the curtain baggy. More often than not you’re left with a choice of busting your gut trying to force the rear lever than last inch to get it seated, or you say [zb] it and leave the curtain billowing like a sail.

[zb] trailer brakes that come on automatically through night if you lose your air.
Especially if you have parked tight up to a hedge the night before, with nettles, to stop getting your fuel nicked…as I found out the other morning getting out in my shorts.
Parked near a hedge■■? You weren’t Giving it a night-out Dozy stylee was you.
Planned to park on ind est at Marlborough, (parked there years ago) a short walk to town, and garage on site for bog and coffee in morning…ideal.
Just about to park up, saw the signs…'No parking/CCTV/fines.
Would not give them the satisfaction of the bastds screwing money out of me, (hope they all die soon ) so ended up in a [zb] lay by just outside Hungerford
It was well lit up, could have walked into town but a mixture of too late and couldn’t be arsed…Joy’s of tramping.
Ok,.a bit dozy stylee but different…for supper home made curry, followed by strawberries and cream, beer and latte… as opposed to Ginsters pie and can of Lilt.
(Even had Saturday night out due to catalogue of [zb] ups. )

I know it’s a bit late, but why did you park in the layby? Park on the industrial estate road, and if you really must, it’s a shorter walk to town. Me, I park there, but dont bother with the pub anymore, as they’re to expensive (like Marlborough, it has a bit of a ‘we’re beter than youw’ attitude…), although if hunger calls, the kebab van is not too bad. He, everybody is entitled one guilty pleasure…

To experience how the other half live.
Nah, I don’t know that area too well for parking, time was getting tight after not being able to park earlier where I planned, but to be honest…I did not even see an ind est, where is it in relation to where I parked (opp.a garden centre I think it was, about 100 yards from a filling station on way out of town towards Newbuty) just in case I find myself there again.

Sorry Rob, but I dont get here so often lately .
As you approach from Marlborough, take the first left as you enter Hungerfotd, and then the first right. On your left is a small I industrial estate,or if you follow the road along you can park. This road takes you to the roundabout.
Or, from the layby where you were, over the mini roundabout, and the second off the big roundabout.

When your stranded on the side of the M1 in poor visibility running your battery flat really ought to be the least of your concerns.
Back in the "old days " I used to carry a couple of ever ready bike lamps, mainly for night time parking but on occasions when the pride of the fleet had died on the road some where and dark and a long way from a phonebox !
Over the years and up until march when my job finished I still carried a pair of lamps , up grading to LEDs in recent years.
Old ■■■■ that I am !!
Nothing winds me up anymore, nothings that important. I can recommend coming back from death for ones mental state, it’s improved my outlook on life no end!

I still carry a paraffin lamp for that very purpose. I nicked it from a set of road works a few years back.
