Basically I’m giving tramping some serious thought however most trampers including my dad seem to always mention the London word which I have up to now thankfully avoided. So my question is… Is it possible to get tramping work that doesn’t involve London?
I doubt it. Considering London’s hatred for the lorry, it has a lot of industry.
Depends what you call London. I’m on containers tramping, the closest I’ve ever got was Stratford, get quite a few exports from around Heathrow and around Barking area though.
I don’t know London at all so to me anywhere within the m25 I’d class as London lol

All depends what you are delivering. If you are delivering things like paper then expect to go all over London.

I would probly agree it’s just the thought of it you never hear anything good about London
Don’t think too much about it then. Just get on with it and if a cyclist ends up under your trailer its proof of Darwins theory of natural selection!
Have you done Cardiff? Have you done Birmingham, have you done Manchester? If the answer to yes to any of those three then London is no different.

It’s just Tarmac like anywhere else, only difference is there’s more [zb]on the said Tarmac in London. I get absolutely no pleasure driving anywhere in the South East. Give me Scotland any day of the week. Love poodling along at 40 like a tractor with a trail dour SNP voting seagulls in my mirror.
I used to do London when there were about 10 truck parks there, knew it like back of my hand and had some great nights out there in the truck, but I aint too keen nowadays, although I don’t do it often at all now, but where tf do you park now if your time is up.?

Someones yard? I never stay on industrial estates in London.
London has the daunting prospect of, timed weight restrictions, that eco zone thing, congestion charge, no parking to scratch you plums and stuff I have likely missed out including cameras on yellow boxes, and every ■■■■■■ driver that would not give you the Steam off their poop, yer nothing to worry about all cities are like that.
