we have to cab hop once in a while - not nice when you have to move four weeks worth of stuff from one truck to another but the way I see it, I’m not paying the lease and if the gaffer parked the truck for one third of the time the driver is home, that would surely be reflected in the wages. if you leave the truck dirty, it’s €125 out of your wages and you’ll be looking for a new job anyway, if you damage stuff all the time.
I do like the truckers math though running rampant here, the only question remains why the lowly profession of a driver, when a career in the financial sector is so clearly missing a star.
