Conor:
Just either lay on the bed and remake it when you finish the shift or roll up the bedding.
Woah don’t come here with your common sense
On a side note to the OP, why do you need to sleep on a bunk for an hour during the day? If you must sleep then roll up the bedding and put it back when you’re finished simple.
I’ve been in a trampers truck a few times being the lowlife agency that I am. Sometimes they’re spotless but other times they’re not. When I get in a truck I always spray down the surfaces with dettol spray (Vital in these times) and clean all the windows and all the mirrors. If the truck is in ■■■■ state though I’m not going to give it a valet. I leave trucks as i find them, and sometimes much cleaner.
On the subject of the number plate, surely when you’re stood at the front of the truck checking all your lights are working And there’s no damage to the truck you’d have seen it in the window, seems you don’t do your first parade!

theres a reason we dont use agency
Your company can’t afford them.Nope - try again
theres also a reason no other person but myself has been in the truck I drive since February.
Because nobody else is desperate enough to work for such a pittance.
Boss took the decision that it would be one man to a truck until this covid thing is over - even if it means turning away work
Pity you think its all about money Conor . Been there and done that . I realised a few years ago I’d rather work in a company where good manners , legal running ,being treated like a human being not just a number on a run sheet ,being asked your opinion on things rather than being told what to think and good tidy plant were as important as a decent wage . Hate to burst your bubble but the wages are good - well above the going rate for this part of the world .

This this a MILLION times this! I’ve never been driven by money in any way and as a result my 25 years as a driver has been a really happy one with incredible levels of variety.

Glad to hear someone else has the same or a similar mindset to myself .Chasing money is a road to misery - I’d much rather have a job that I enjoy. Don’t get me wrong money is important but it’s part of the overall package. I’ve seen guys leave us because they are going somewhere for another £30 / week and at that time we rarely went south of Carlisle . These guys were going to London 3 times a week . Would anyone here drive from Carlisle to London for a fiver ? I kid you not .

I have this mindset, after years of chasing money and a decent job I was about to leave the industry for good but happened to get my current job, mostly regional/mid distance only occasional nights out, average money but treated like one of the family, nice bonus at Xmas,no falling out and trucks are bang on.
Iv been searching for a job with a supermarket for years on an early am shift pattern but never got set on when I apply so I reckon my current job is as good as I’m ever going to get.
The thought of working for an “absolute solutions logistics network we deliver your promises” sort of firm fills me with dread
