Just been watching Traffic Cops from last wednesday bbc.co.uk/programmes/b006zygp & noticed that the Moped they ‘Pulled Over’ was actually Rammed on the pavement (3min 42 secs). Now, I have a lot of respect for Mr Plod if they are carrying out their duty in a lawful manor, but when they film it & then one of the arresting officers Blattently Lies to try & cover for his ‘Mad Max’ colleague, I tend to loose that respect.
“Mick ‘Just Made Contact’ with the bike”.
NO ! MICK RAMMED THE BIKE !
They tried to explain that he had lost control as he mounted the pavement but it looked more like he lost control when 2 tons of Jam Sandwich mounted him !
Was it really worth trying to Kill the little Knob on the bike ?
So out of the while program you find that little fault. Can i say your one of the crowd that stood there filming the two officers struggling with the black male?

Here’s an idea for all the anti cop brigade - do away with all the police and see how long we last as a civilized society…
It would work a treat, because we’d be able to ‘sort out’ all the people that get away with murder and hide behind the law where they are untouchable. They’d soon change their ways and think twice if they knew that there was a very high chance of them getting their heads stoved in by the very people they are causing the harm to.
Unfortunately it doesn’t work like that. All that would happen is the strong would pick on the weak. Being in the police certainly isn’t the most popular of jobs but I do think we make a difference… And I wasn’t even bullied at school…

remember what you said to me “Ignore them”. it looks like stobarts had a good week this week hence why it has turned in to a police thread. People like RobK and Slimlyphill won’t get the gist and just act the big man behind his screen .
Don’t get sucked in and leave it and let this lot vent there anger. What the haters haven’t noticed that an officer on that program could have lost his eye but there more worried about some ginger knob on a scooter getting arrested

That’s all well and good, but it’s the courts that let people get away with it not the police

Just out of interest Phil in a very alternate reality would you be a benevolent copper toward your public or a bad lieutenant & pump it for all it’s worth?

if i was a copper, i’d be very fair. i’d probably never arrest anyone. i’d look at a situation and make my own mind up.
let’s say there’s a guy doing 60mph past a school at 9am because he’s late for work, he’d end up very late and £100 light because that would be the expected bribe. a guy doing 100mph down a deserted motorway at 3am would be pulled over and told “next time make it 120”.
a drink driver would pay a £1000 bribe and get a free lift home.
a burglar that steals a load of christmas presents from a house would be put in the stocks, whipped, and urinated on by christmas revellers.
and a little note to mickeyblue. at what point did i play the big man behind the screen? i don’t like coppers because of the high and mighty attitude and blinkered vision that they have.
i know a few ex coppers. only one of them was a decent bloke when he was in the job, another one has a serious alchohol problem brought on by guilt. he has looked back at the things he did in his career, and he hates himself.

Sorry Mr Micky’Perfect’blue,
I’m no where near perfect, but I am a Biker as well as a Lorry driver & I don’t agree with what this moped rider was doing, but that did’nt give Plod the right to attempt to kill him & just for your info I would have assisted the 2 coppers fighting with black guy. If you had read the rest of the post I was saying that I respect some aspects of Policing.
I also ride a motorcycle myself and still do in this weather but i cannot see why that has to be mentioned. The ginger knob on the bike needed stopping like that. if you watch it again you can see he is on something and doesn’t know where he is, or what he is doing. Due to him being in that state i would say he would of ended on the deck affecting someones life and if the police didn’t do what they did then there would be another topic slating why the police didn’t do anything
