Tractors and trailers

Just read in local paper, a tractor driver electrocuted himself whilst working in a field and another one collided with a high voltage cable, again in a field.

Then they let them loose on the roads.

It is quite strange this topic as one of my first posts on Trucknet was about a Wuffler behind a David Brown 990

Very few on here will know what a wuffler is

is knowing what a wuffler is something to be proud of, or embarrassed about ?

(I know what one is )

We go to some farms that still use one.

They even do a new version http://www.teagle.co.uk/Products/Tedders/ted.asp

For the benefit of those who didn’t have a clue what we were talking about, here ya go…

Can’t be the phone that’s ringing… a tractor just took the line out.

I have to drive a tractor at work, and for the record because we are not agri the tractor runs on white is taxed as a HGV and I have a log book for my driving hrs, I have to drive it on a dual carriageway regularly that isn’t the busiest in the world. what amazes me is the way so called profesional artic drivers come hurtling up behind me on the limiter until they are hairs breath off the link arms then pull out around me and pull straight back in again cutting me up and barely leaving the bucket on the front loader!

I thought truckers were profesional and could plan well ahead etc I also thought they had to have medicals as I did to get my class 2 but seemingly not as they cant see 8ton of bright green tractor with two beacons blazing until they are 12" from the thing?!
