Tow truck driver must be one of the luckiest person alive.
The Volvo driver i hope survived but must have been in a dreadful state.
Snow is on the way from Norway to the UK so this is good warning to drive safely

That barrier was useful…
Havn’t i seen this before…
very strange.
norway isn’t highly populated, but someone just happens to have a camera on an almost deserted snow covered road on the side of a mountain.

It was the police who filmed it.

A local women was going on a trip, heard on the radio a truck was stuck. Nothing new there, stupid eastern/southern European drivers with 2axle trucks and hard summer tires get stuck all the time there. So she decided to make a video.
Norwegians are quite tired of 2 axle trucks and discussion about banning them in the winter. There are even some how want to ban all other than Swedish and Finnish trucks in the winter from coming to Norway
Only this winter there has been over 170 accidents just in Northern Norway with foreign trucks and just 20 Norwegian trucks. If you look at those numbers maybe you will understand just how sick all is.
Hi all.Icee as you say the problem for the Norwegians is the abundance of East block trucks which are woefully unprepared for driving in Norway in the winter.ALL the trucks up here,be they Swedish,Finnish or Norwegian are 3axle units or rigids with proper winter tyres and many, like mine have studded front tyres.
As i mentioned on the other thread the police and ministry in Norway have this problem every winter and are getting to the point where they will legislate for sharper regulations.Already you have a lot of controls for ice chains in Norway, and if you aint got got em they park you up and make you buy them.Minimal 7 are required so it can be expensive which is why a lot of east block trucks try to get away without.Mike

And so you’ve just opened the door to our resident 6x4 nutjob to ruin yet another topic.

I don’t have studded front tires but real winters of course. Works wonderful on everything else than water ice (hate that stuff) But haven’t needed to use a chain in Norway yet this winter (one colone drive would have needed it but felt a bit ashamed when I found out that I had chains for 275 and 315 under (trailer switch earlier and forget to look at the chains), but asked the guy and said I can go anyway). Sweden on the other hand used them 3 times this winter on the same ■■■■■■■ road

yeah, you probably seen it on one of the other 2 topics that were posted on Tuesday, as they wouldve been higher on the index than mine as mine was an older post from Monday. i did search the topics before posting so i apologise if i had missed an earlier mention of the above incident.
nice try at being a smart arse, 8/10 for effort.
PS my apologies, there are 3 other topics, not 2 as i stated, although 2 were put up within a minute of each other so you can forgive them, the other was 15 minutes later, which could be accounted for by lag times or less experienced user?
