crackin photos as always guys

Black Box Music had this nice Merc at Zurich Open-Air Festival over the last few days.

Start of a line-up of FBN kit at Zurich, the day before the inevitable rain started.

Great if you’re a plane-spotter (i’m not).

Guess the air-con worked overtime on this smart Volvo of Mexs. Not the most practical colour when you’re trying to sleep in 35c, as i’m sure the Transam boys can confirm. Taken backstage at Area 4 Festival, Luedinghausen, Germany.

Too many trucks, or too small a loading dock, meant that some had to have their gear shuttled to them in this…

Seen at Lowlands Festival, Biddinghuizen, The Netherlands.

Backstage during the load-in at Sarrock Festival, Sardinia, today.

The DAF artic and an 18t Mercedes were operated by a Dutch removal company, who amongst toher things,
specialised in transporting orchestral instruments. They were being used to carry instruments for Serge Tankinen
(not sure about the spelling), and were accompanied (no pun intended) by a 26t rigid from Stardes, which carried
the touring production equipment.

GB I was on Muse with One of your Guys Phil I think he was doing Editors had a good laugh with him, if you see him tell him The Big Girl in the Pink dress says Hi !!!

This old Iveco has been following us around for a couple of shows in Italy, carrying local PA and lights.

Fuel-stop on way up through Italy. Took us 1.30 hours to get 1000lts between us. Bit of a queue by the time we’d finished. Good job we did’nt want to fill them right up!

Loading-in at the Villa Manin, Passariano, Udine, Italy.
Quite a pleasent setting, though at the time of posting, its now raining.

Gav’s truck, through the arches.

Basking in the sunshine…

The best thread on this entire forum for me,the FBN livery looks very classy, many thanks for the updates GB1.

What are the cables used for that are hooked up here? Only seen something like that in Sweden for plugging in engine heaters in the winter.
Don’t tell me it’s for running satellite telly or something :unamused:

its to prove power to the units mate to save the batteries from going flat

Most of Stardes units are fitted with ‘heavy-duty’ inverters. Plugging-in to the mains allows you to trickle-charge the batteries, as well as use all the truck’s electrics (lights/radio/tv/fridge/microwave/etc) without any adverse effect to the batteries.
I must say that they’re probably the best equipped trucks in the business, at least in the UK.

A few more from this week.
Firstly, the load-out at Villa Manin, Passariano, Udine, Italy.

Under canvas at the Two Days A Week (+1) Festival, Wiesen, Austria.

And again.

Ready for action.

Loading-in at Salzburg Arena this morning.

And again.
