David Icke is way out there in La la Land along with the flat earthers and the global warmists.
We actually live in an 'Ineptocracy. Defined Thus:-
A system of government where the least capable to lead are elected by the least capable of producing, and where the members of society least likely to sustain themselves or succeed are rewarded with goods and services paid for by the confiscated wealth of a diminishing number of producers.’
I’m sure you’ll piece this together for us in your next book!

I accept i could be accused of being a foam flecked zealot seagoon but the evidence is all around us,my home town of Ryde on the isle of wight is facing over a thousand new houses being built in an area of immense natural beauty called Ashey. The island has massive poverty and unemployment but at least has a strong tourist factor and ancient woodlands are to be jcb’d for some pathetic housing target dillusion our masters deem appropriate.Whats the grand vision, for us all to live in nothing but a giant industrial estate on an island that is chronically overpopulated and soon to be further enriched by hordes of resorce competitors from the east? if that’s the future for us,a seething mass of humanity compressed together in overpriced boxes where no jobs are to be found then i would say satanic is something of an understatement.
That’s an accurate description of the government’s development plans at least in the south east.I think it goes along the lines of building ourselves out of recession just like the Irish and the Spanish did.
Carryfast:
The government has actually stated that one of the reasons for it is to free up more rail capacity for freight to take more trucks off the road.
Maybe if they spent money on a line running from south east England to the Glasgow area that had roro carriages for trucks like the Eurotunnel it may help to take freight away from the roads, but when would truck companies ever be able to afford that, let alone passengers be able to afford to travel on a train come 20 years time.
The HS2 is only planned to go a small distance of the country as it is anyway.

Don’t be surprised we live in a corpocracy anything that’s not about carving up the pie for the benefit to big business is fair game i’m afraid. To think our precious countryside is immune from this evil system is pretty naivve, the noxious excuse for goverment are simply a front, chess pieces if you like,to play out their agenda of god knows what…
I firmly believe the mechanisms of government are pursuing a satanic bargain to eradicate any last vestiges of inate goodness in mankind and the present cabal of soul-dead [zb] deigning to rule us are no exception,Thatchers children,Bilderberg placements from the oxbridge conveyer belt that has long called the shots in blighty.
Theres a vast ammount of so called conspiracy sites to peruse if you are interested in getting to the truth.I would recommend DEEP BLACK LIES site or David Ickes own site that should lift the veil of lies we have been spun since time immorial.
Big business is just a small cog in the wheel of taking us all into spiritless void where nothing is sacred anymore and capitalism which has screwed us all so completely needs to be totally replaced with a political system more attuned to our evolution as a whole speices and there is a brilliant site expounding the ambitions of the MERITOCRACY party which is well worth checking out.
David Icke is a prick… He thinks the moon isn’t real. Not the moon landing, the actual moon.
hahahaha-he is a prick.he also thinks the queen is a ■■■■■■■ lizard!! how has he not been locked up yet?

About time too. This will provide a lot of work for a good few years some of it for truck drivers. Don’t see this as a bad thing - sorry.
The government has actually stated that one of the reasons for it is to free up more rail capacity for freight to take more trucks off the road.
The OP is right it’s just a plan to benefit the big business rail operators at the expense of what remains of the nation’s countryside.
2 questions come to mind.
Where are all the rail freight handling yards going to be? Noisy things freight yards and the freight will likely travel at night when passenger demand is at its lowest. Even then the eventual destination will be fed by road.
Is there not more countryside than that between London and Birmingham? This is tranche 1 with more to follow from Birmingham to Manchester, Leeds and further to Scotland.
Personally I suspect that HS2 is going to hit air passenger traffic between the South East and Edinburgh more than freight on roads due to the flexibility that road offers over rail.
Andrew Neil [brillo pad] asked Philip Hammond when he was Transport Secretary was it worth spending £40billion to shave a few minutes off a journey from London to Birmingham,
never liked Hammond and it was great to see him squirm and unable to answer a simple question.Up to our necks in debt and they plan to blow £40 billlion which will eventually cost
over £100 billion to save a minute or two on a train journey, senseless.

This ^^^^
And when you arrive in place A via this amazing rail link, but your actual destination is place AB 5.5miles from the station, how do you get there? You will waste the time saved on the rail journey trying to find a bus or a taxi…
The only reason for this link is to make even more money for a few people who are already stinking rich…
I refer you to my earlier replies. A bit quick to lock people up aren’t you? “The Queens a lizard”.
Mmm. I think it’s “Reptillian hybrid”. Whatever. You’d lock the lock the bloke up for calling HRH a walking reptile?
Would you have a public trial for this?
Maybe HRH and many other public figures that’ve been named as paedos would be present to give evidence and prove him wrong.
Maybe when he named, among others, Jimmy Saville as a paedo, years ago he should’ve been locked up then too.
Take look at his, and others information instead of watching Eastenders or football and put it into context for yourself

The rail freight handling capacity already exists it’s all about freeing up track capacity not handling capacity. The countryside between London and Birmingham is already subject to numerous types of development encroachment over the years. It doesn’t make much sense to build at least two large seperate motorway routes in addition to the existing rail capacity and then put even more rail capacity in to defeat the object of the two road routes. There’s a difference between modernising existing infrastructure and covering the place in too much.
But contrary to your view the government’s stated aim for HS2 is to free up existing track capacity for freight while switching passenger traffic to the new high speed lines.Which means either you’re wrong or the government’s business plan for building it is.The banks and big business don’t usually throw money around unless they believe the business plan as given for investing.

rail will never ever replace road- and the goverment know it,or it would have been done long before now!!,dont worry about it…
You may not have noticed but the rail freight industry already has done it for years before the long distance sector of the road transport industry took off relatively recently by comparison. The government’s stated policy is to now reverse that process.

Because he hasn’t been proved wrong■■?
What so the queen is a lizard is she and the moon doesn’t exist??
It was once common knowledge that the world was flat. I believe folk like yourself wanted the proponents of the contrary view locked up then, too.
Who knows. I’ve never been to the moon. Have you?
I take nothing for granted anymore.
You please yourself mate.
Can’t understand why you’d get wound up about it. You’ve got your firmly held belief in the solidity of the moon and the purely human DNA of HRH. Live and let live FFS.
