I guarantee anyone telling their insurance company that they drive in a “cavalier, unconcerned manner” will result in either higher premiums or an outright refusal to insure… It is also every driver’s duty under the highway code to be courteous to other road users at all times, and not pull out a mobile device for an illegal filming which doesn’t respect anyone, seeing as the accident was easily prevented by overtaking the lorry prior to the bridge, and pulling him up. Mis-use of the emergancy services was also evident,
The number plate of the hightop was not censored out either, which constitutes an invasion of privacy. Bearing in mind that it’s easy to establish an invasion of their privacy out of all this, I would imagine that they’d get rather upset indeed if stobbie spotters started throwing bricks through windows and the like for being such personae non gratae in this situation.

The person who uploaded the video has called me this morning and has offered an apology for uploading the video, which he has now removed. he realises the strength of feeling about this and in his own words now realises it was “stupid to post it”.
Only realises now it was stupid to post?? The guy should be ashamed of himself, he was waiting for praise and all he got was stick, he deserves all he gets and more.
I work for stobarts out off widnes ( i know but just trying to scratch a living ) i pull dd quite a lot so you get used to where you are going ( irlam,blackpool,chorley,horwich,longton,) to name a few so now no agency drivers can take dd out.On another note doncaster drivers on strike good luck but im sure your not all like this tesco drivers whenever i meet them the first words they say is i wouldnt do your job for that wage, fair enough but i did say to one tesco driver approaching retirement… you cant buy youth .
I’ve done a fair bit of DD work (mostly DD work) for a few firms but have yet to be given clear route directions by any of them. I have been given a hand drawn photocopy of a map occasionally, normally resembling the Dead Sea Scrolls and often completely illegible…and best ignored.
Mind you, I still haven’t hit a bridge as i use a decent truck atlas and a bit of common sense. Generally suffices.

The person who originally posted up footage of a driver making an error and took great glory in doing so and who could have prevented a accident but choose not to, and had no regard to the driver he filmed making a error took great delight to post the footage on youtube to claim a victory.
Now realises he was wrong and because he is now the story and not the driver he filmed, has now run crying to the teacher

So that’s why I was being offered inducements by the agency to work there…it wasn’t enough anyway but you couldn’t pay me enough to scab, even if it is Stobarts drivers. Whatever they’re after I wish them luck and hope others in the driving fraternity don’t undermine them, not holding my breath though…
I’m looking forward to the day those daft DD trailers are banned , we must be the only country in the world that allows the stupid things . And before i get the " i pull them all the time " brigade telling me im wrong no one has thought of what happens when roads are closed and snap decisions need to be made regarding re-routes … asking for trouble they are . Why we cant manage like every other euro company does is beyond me . They go downwards and we go up… Its daft .

I wonder why it doesn’t surprise me that he would phone you rather than apologising openly like a man 
I can understand why his address isn’t allowed to be used on this site but I’m struggling to see what rules have been broken by posting his name which he openly publishes on his Facebook page together with the video he thought was so funny that he felt compelled to comment “still laughing at this”.
He volunteered to have his name associated with the video when he posted the video on both his Youtube account and his Facebook page both of which are in his own name.

so he thinks that posting the video was what he did wrong rather than the way he behaved.

I would of thought that covers it. But in plain simple terms trucknet doesn’t want to involved with the likes of this what just went on. I’d personally just ban the posting of youtube links if it was up to me. I find them a pain in the arse. If i want to see whats on you tube i can just go there, i don’t need anyone here to post some crap snap and ask for comments. Its all available where it is on you tube. Maybe we should just ditch the you tube links?

Whats an over reaction ? Me saying you tube links should be banned? Its been mooted before, and seeing how you tubes policy of language doesn’t quite match our own i can’t see a valid reason for allowing them.[Thats my own personal opinion]. As a moderator it means i have to look at them to make sure they’re ok. So i have to go to an external site and make sure it doesn’t break out rules.Seeing as most of them are just a short clip of crap it makes you wonder if its worth it.
But some of you guys get even funnier !!! You just couldn’t make it up if you tried. So lets see…

I genuinley don’t understand. Whats wrong? Personal details are ok or they’re not. Should i check with you first to see if its ok to publish your Facebook page? Thats a luxury the original you tube video guy never got, or should we just ask some people. Do you want me to remove my link to your facebook page. I really don’t understand.
