Gill Mill’s almost out of tipping space (new planning permission pending) so we’re tipping at Hansons’, Coln Gravel Pit at Lechlade.
Stopped near Burford School…seen in the distance is the infamous “Ahmeds’ Elephant Meat”. We didn’t buy nowt but wanted to see if the vendor complained at us for stoppping there (as they’ve been known to). This time he was content to just pace up and down and give us the evil eye as we left
Even the crows would rather beg for Phils’ leftovers

Once Johns’ load bonus is taken into account, she’ll only carry 17ton The number 1 6wheeler driver’s off Wednesday to Friday so John’ll probably be driving “that one with the Yanky (Canadian) numberplate”…

I heard from a reliable source that he’s refused to drive anything other than the 02 Foden until he gets the new one Nathan .
Cheers Dave.
That would explain the digitach that packed up in the Volvo on Friday morning …his eyesight must be getting bad as he turned up as reinforcements at Smiths Concrete in an 03 plate
Mentioning Smiths Concrete, I must visit Cassington plant more than their mixer drivers…perhaps I’ll have to change my username to Sandman

When we did the last load Friday, on my way back it came on the radio that the Witney bypass was blocked, hope you missed that one.

I never saw anything and it didn’t take long to get back once I’d cleared Eynsham traffic lights.
The only way we’re meant to get into the body to remove stuck material; Not sure how much use it will be when a load of lime or whatever is stuck somewhere in Berkshire and you’re meant to be backloading flint out of Thatcham
Hey Steve what you doing posting pics! Who showed you how to do that? Hope we gona see some pics of your wagons on here now!
Regards Chris

Don’t worry Nathan, the H & S tossers won’t give a monkeys if you come to grief in a field somewhere,as it probably would’nt be on their patch so thats OK then!!! But they will hound the Quarry because thats dead easy! We used to get the same in one or two paper mills we ran out of but they weren’t interested if the motor was outside their area.Cheers Dennis.
Jim Sewell with his new motor, taken this afternoon. He said it was “Way better than the Foden, better than the Daf auto demonstrator (he tried a year or so ago) .” I had a quick look around and inside it; looks much tougher and far better inside than the Daf CF cab, nice and high off the floor and good storage space for a day cab.
Muckaway is on.holiday at the mo, renting an old chapel near Evesham. Ive left my motor with Father Ted; A driver who
s Oxon a to z is so old it shows the railway to Woodstock! I even washed it for him and cleaned the interior…
