Muckaway:
Thanks for all the comments, he’s just done 2 backloads in the last 10minutes and guess who did the muckaway?
He needed the ventouse delivery (suction) at the end, typical drivers son; gets near to the end, gets stuck and needs towing out
Good lad Callum,sounds like a chip off the block .
JAKEY:
Has he got some Smiths p js and nappeys then ? , bet he gets a tonka toy soon ■■?
I’ve still got my old Brittains’ farm/plant toys in the loft that I had as a nipper (tipper/mixer/360/drott/loading shovel (in Redlands livery-R.I.P) etc.
I’ve got a large Tonka loading shovel that I used to take to the beach and at mum and dads there are still 2 large toy dumptrucks in the loft-both about 18inches high and one has the F88 cab on so a bit of nostalgia thrown in.
Also got the usual matchbox tippers and plant plus the Superking range (Bedford TM skip wagon in Hales Waste colours)
More recently I’ve collected Corgi 1:50 scale 8wheelers that includes;
Daf 85 (Hanson), Foden S21s in Smith and Sons (obviously), Hoveringhams, Moreton Cullimore and Sam Longsons’ colours and I’m ashamed to admit to owning a Stobart liveried AEC Marshal which I’ve been meaning to get reliveried into something less offensive
I made a comment to the Marital Manager about having the pram signwritten, and got a response (with colourful wording) very similar to this I think getting “Callum” on the Fodens’ passenger door will have to do…

Can’t you persuade your Marital Manager to let you put some “long vehicle” stickers on Callums wagon Nathan .

I was thinking of “acquiring” one of those “This vehicle stops frequently” signs off one of the endless rental grab wagons that use Gill Mill tip for the utility companies…Failing that an old bent CB aerial fixed to a handle and a copy of a gentlemans relaxation magazine in the shopping compartment (easily found if you know which drivers’ cab to look in)
Local television coverage of Smiths yesterday ,never got in at the beginning so not quite sure what it was all about,saw some trucks and mentioned giving room to cyclists ,can you tell us more ----toshboy
Roadcommander2’s having trouble with Photobucket so I’ll stick up a thumbnail sized version I’ve found on Orange Image search until he can sort things out and I’ll quote the response to it a few posts down…
