Quicksilver:
Muckaway - Some observations -

  1. Do not underestimate the power of the internet!
2 Never forget that this is the most popular UK Road Transport Forum - that is Road Transport Forum, not Drivers Forum. Every day, Owners, Transport Managers, Line Managers, Traffic Managers, Shift Managers, Transport Clerks etc etc visit this forum.
  2. Since you started your “Smiths of Bletchingdon” thread, little has been heard about the positive aspects of your employment there, in fact you only seem to focus on the negative.
  3. “As ye sow, so shall ye reap”
  4. Unless Employment Laws have recently been rewritten, initiating a thread about your employer on an internet forum is not yet a dismissable offence, so unless you have “previous”, this cannot be the sole reason for your dismissal.
  5. Is there more to this than meets the eye?

As you appear to be a “barrack room” lawyer “Quicksilver” your comments cannot go unanswered ! As it is over 2 years that “Muckaways” thread was started your No2 comment is a bit of a non starter I believe,or maybe it takes 2 years for the TN thread to reach “the sticks” of deepest Oxfordshire?I have,in the past, been a fairly large employer of drivers over many years, and IMHO “Muckaway” came over as a very decent employee, interested in his Job ! Put it this way,if he’d been an employee of my company and I wasn’t happy with his comments,I’d have nailed his “■■■” and given him the “ultimatum” in the first couple of posts i.e. Two years ago, period.Maybe there are other reasons for the termination of his employment, however,if it is purely as a result of the “Thread” after a two year run on TN I think he is better off not driving for a “small minded outfit” Merry Christmas, and I’m sure Nathan and his family will have one !!! Cheers Dennis.

Wouldnt have been a bad shot if someone hadn’t parked a boat in the way, or for that matter put a fence up

Has “Muckaway” signed a “confidentiality” agreement not to post on this site ever again ? Cheers Bewick.

He posts plenty on the ‘Proffesional Drivers’ part of the forum Dennis, if you look on there you might just see where you went wrong!

Pete.

Ex Smiths - pictured when in use with Prossers of Malvern

I rememeber that truck , miss Muckaways posts on this thread . Was nice seeing a dailey update .

Just had a good payrise, I shaln’t be driving tippers anytime soon.
 :grimacing:
Fryske is the ERF still owned by Prossers? I see a few of their wagons when out Worcester way, that ERF was a lovely truck to drive.

No -they kept it for a year or so but moved it on as it was too long for most of their work (IIRC)

They were very pleased with it though -

I think it has been exported now ?

Shame if it has gone abroad, but I thought their 8wheelers were a bit shorter than normal, although up Malvern way that can be a bonus.
