Glenister and Kidd have both been doing some car show presenting in which neither seem to be seriously knowledgeable enough about the car side and without Clarkson etc there’s no point in trying to keep the humourous stuff because neither can do that as good either.Realistically it might be better to just keep it a more seriously car focused programme with an alternating weekly line up of people like Tiff Needel,Chris Harris,Harry Metcalfe,Perry McCarthy,Alain de Cadenet and Guy Martin.Without any of the previous rationing of programmes bs.However it is doubtful that the BBC,which is now obviously a PC Green/LibDem type supporting institution,could be trusted to deliver anyway even without the un PC humour.
I like Phil glenister as an actor - especially LOM & A2A, but think this could be the kiss of death for anybody, taking over from the three amigos - top gear has some fanatical followers, who probably won’t accept anybody new.
top gear is gone forever, personally I had a love hate relationship it was a childish show that had nothing to do with serious motoring but was quite entertaining.ironic the bastion of the left the bbc most successful show was a non pc show
