Probably because like most parts of Surrey the place is on the developers’ hit list.IE it probably doesn’t have a medium even short term future before it is turned into yet another housing estate for London commuters. 
Although I think it would be naive to think that the agenda wasn’t all about getting rid of Top Gear because it doesn’t suit the BBC PC message.Being that Clarkson’s ‘crime’ was no worse than the fat commy Prescott’s lashing out in so called ‘self defence’ in retaliation for a thrown egg.
surely if they replace the 3 of them,and judging by the state of the pc brigade at the bbc,then one will have to be gay/lesbian,one will be in a wheelchair and the other one non pink…no doubt vegetarian with some sort of local dialct,or speech impediment in there as well.work that one out. all suggestions welcome now.( i darent or itl be a ban) clarkstons finished.top gears finished,theyre flogging a dead horse now,so let it lie as theyve ended it while there still on top…best way to go.if the other 2 have any self respect they will jack it in on principal as there meant to be mates,and there not exactly paupers.

Apparently Clarkson,May and Hammond are in talks with Netflix about doing a show for them also the excexutive producer of Top Gear is part of these talks,obviously won’t be called Top Gear but will be the same format as it.
There are uncomfirmed reports that dermot o leary is being considerd to replace jeremy.

I think the point many people are missing is that Top Gear is not really a motoring program. How many viewers are really spoilt for choice between the Ferrari and Lamborghini? Which Porsche offers the best value in the under £100,000 shopping trolley market?
It is an entertainment program aimed at people with an interest in motoring. The presenters are no experts, but very entertaining. Clarkson talks a load of ■■■■■■■■ much of the time but the way he says it is brilliant. Same goes for most of the show: it is unique and cannot be replaced in its current format. I hope the guys show up on another channel doing the same thing and more fool the BBC for losing it.
Agree with Gardun, hence I don’t watch it religiously. I’m not interested in seeing yet another Bugatti Veyron (ugly bloody things anyway) being timed around an old airfield, but interested in comparing like for like.
