Top Bunk sleepers?

Any drivers here who don’t double man, prefer to sleep on the top bunk? If so, why? Just curious.

I won’t, not after the last crowd I worked with. Top bunk always feels wrong to me.

i fella i used to work with found the top bunk of the premium he drove was more comfy than the bottom one

I use the top bunk all the time,on my Maggie the bottom is classed as an office with a table I keep in place the top bunk is sprung while the bottom bunk is in three bumpy bits,
I have slept in it but it’s not overly comfortable but then on the ferry home drivers complain about using the top bunk if it’s three or four to a cabin but once again I prefer the top for
the simple reason it is nearest the air con outlet, keeps you cool.

In my 60plate globetrotter, i wouldn’t want to sleep on the top,
It has the cupboards on the back wall an it looks very cramped

But years ago i did have a eurostar, and the top bunk on that was heaven

Another vote for the top bunk here. Depends on whether it’s comfier or more space really although I also like not sleeping where all sorts of crap gets thrown on in the day whilst working.

Also which side would drivers like to sleep

I sleep with my head on the passenger side, and find it really weird to sleep the other way round

Whichever is the comfiest. The Eurostar had a nice top bunk, so did the MP2 Actros, and the Magnum’s was superb. In everything else I’ve always slept downstairs.

Bottom bunk as the top has been replaced with a shelf. Sleep with my head away from the road so usually passenger side

Bottom bunk in my mp2 I could really hurt my self trying to get up and down from the top bunk

I sleep with my head on the drivers side, purely because I don’t want to see the “work” area whilst resting.
Tried the top bunk on my fh last week when my daughter was with me. Very cramped with the cupboards above you.

Top bunk in the old Iveco … and top in the Volvo as the bottom was set up with the table option,
I sleep with my head at whatever side is higher, though i prefer divers side .

I’m getting a new Merc Actros Megaspace in a few weeks and was hoping to use the top bunk and use the bottom as an office too

Never slept in one so I guess I’ll find out soon

The top bunk on the 4 series topline, the one at the front, was great. Plenty of room and you could stick your feet out the sunroof on warm evenings! Everything else it’s only been the bottom bunk.

You have to follow the prison code Mr Big always had the top bunk.

I have a Mega Space and the top bunk is where I sleep , its wider then the bottom one , adjustable height settings on either end so dont matter what angle you park .Once you have figured out how to get in and out its the best place to sleep.
I keep bottom bunk for all my crap . HTH.

When I had an Eurotech I used to sleep on the top bunk.

There wasn’t much storage under the bottom bunk because it was set so low. I used to keep my kit in toy boxes on the bottom bunk and keep the top bunk folded up till I needed it.
