Message to you Dr DEMON : I presume you saw the video, yes? Good! It was in Belgium. Unless you were there, how the heck can you know how it happened. It happened yesterday morning, with a low sun, we all know how dangerous that can be. How do you know that they have been tail-gating. I normally ignore you because I consider you as a total plank ( won’t go down the road of “you and your alter egos” cos I don’t give a toss if you are one or one hundred posters) but this time I have to vent my spleen at you!! !! People here have lost their lives in this accident! We have had some really cold temperatures overnight with very damp conditions here in northern Europe, those drivers may have been respecting the 2 sec rule and because of the conditions given a fair few seconds more. Unless you know the facts STFU you TOOL

Merd pierrot merd, no I did not watch the video, I simply went on the title of the thread. Listen I don’t know anymore than you about the accident and I NEVER said I did but as I am sure you are aware most accidents are caused by human error.
You go on about low sun and low temperatures. We have that here as well but do drivers drive to suit the conditions? Some do but most don’t. If the conditions are as bad as you say you need far more than the 2 second rule especially in a truck as again I am sure you are aware.

Sun low in the sky? Maybe wear sunglasses and adjust your driving to take account of that. Low temperature? Adjust your distance to take account of the possibilty of ice. Or alternatively, keep it lit and drive like a ■■■■ and run into each other. Your choice.
