Sitting 2ft off my rear doors trying to shove me up the A66 isn’t going to make my truck go any quicker and perhaps if you’d sat a bit further away you’d have seen the A1 Northbound Closed signs and turned off at Barnard Castle instead of going all the way to Scotch Corner and sitting there like a prick at the roundabout staring at the line of cones blocking your way.
I would admit to having a bit of a chuckle to myself as I watched you go all the way round the roundabout and back up the A66 knowing you’d just added 40 minutes onto your journey because you drive like a ■■■■. Ain’t Karma a ■■■■■.
P.S those two big flashing red lights that come on when you stop look stupid.

Far too many brain dead lorry drivers on our roads these days. The sooner their dangerous driving is stopped the better.
Come to the conclusion the more lights they have the dumber they are and this was lit up like a christmas tree. I was doing 50 on the SC sections and it was only because I was running at 43 tonnes I slowed down on the hills and there’s not a lot you can do about that but seeing him go shooting past me on the last DC section to Scotch Corner, doing a 180 at the roundabout and going all the way back to Barnard Castle at least made me feel like justice was done.
I came down from Carlisle the other evening and got into barlborough with 6 mins too spare , I wouldn’t of made it if I’d of had too follow you , there’s no need for this 50 mph crap these days , you can run the 66 on the limiter without fear of getting done , the only reason anyone does 50 on a s/c is too drag a few more £ ,s out the job .
Too be honest I wouldn’t of sat on your back doors I’d of been comming past you

Doze mate . This has to stop, do yourself a favour on here and have a read back and a long think think before you press submit, and try to do a bit of damage limitation.
To get back to the Barney Castle diversion, I went that way last week having seen the signs, but I couldn’t help wondering if they had been left there as a night closure only. It appears not so I won that one.

I thought it was night closures only. I came back eastbound on Thursday at about 10-00am, saw the signs and took a chance. Once I got to the A1 Northbound I’m sure I saw a sign that said something like 22-00 to 06-00. I might be wrong on the actual times but it was definitely open.

Dear Mr police man nick me for speeding as I openly admit it , yours sincerely Dozy c/o stobbies
P/s I stick at 50 because on some roads that’s the most you can do with out losing yer load out the side as I don’t want to be picking 1t drums of cable or loads of decking planks up

Maybe it was nights only then after all.
I just saw the sign and went for it. I didn’t want to get to Scotch Corner and have to turn around.
I was going to Wynyard and ended up going through a bloody weight limit. …think I got away with it.

Or at least reconsider whether posting to TruckNet while in the pub on a Saturday night is a good idea.

Just to clarify for people who dont use the road regularly, the diversion signs are permantly up but the road is only closed on a night
