It’s not hard. Make the call. If he is fit to drive and there’s no issues plod will send him on his way. No harm done and you have peace of mind. If there is a problem then it’s been tackled and again you can have peace of mind that you’ve done the right thing and prevented the possibility of an accident. Plod can’t be everywhere and see everything. If nobody does their bit you can hardly complain when some scrote steals your car and writes it off and nobody sees anything. And yeah I’ve done it.

I thought the term ‘Grassing’ was only used within the criminal fraternityAnd the term ‘Reporting’ was used by responsible law abiding citizens. Goes to show how moral standards change over the years.
Tiger.
spot on.
+1
It’s time the term ‘grass’ was eradicated from this forum. It’s been banded about far too liberally and only serves to drag it into the gutter, a place where the criminals belong.

I cannot believe any member of this forum would condone a drink driver. So that said make the call. If he’s clean all he’s got to lose is 10 minutes of his time. If he has been having that pub lunch/spliff in the cab, then good riddance to bad rubbish.

Not your job to police the world is it?If you start grassing people for doing things like this then why not ring up every time you see someone taking drugs, or drinking alcohol in public, or smoking in a workplace, or breaking a health and safety regulation.
If we all spent our time grassing up every time we saw someone doing wrong, we’d never get any work done at all.
Surely you have to weigh up the risk of what you witness,if it seems quite dangerous then someone must report it,say if someone saw a friend or relative of yours get assaulted surely if they knew who did it you would welcome them going to the Police?
MADBAZ:
The first time I saw him I thought he might be a new driver and/or unfamiliar with the roads/truck or had some distraction going on, but I now believe he may have had a leisurely pub lunch.
.
I am NOT drunk. I am merely keeping my eye on you because you are always right up my arse for 15 miles and I’m terrified you are going to plough into the back of me
I can’t tell you if you should report the driver or not, I’m not there at the time to judge how dangerous thier driving is.
But hang on all you that striaght away say “no!”
At what point do you consider somebody so dangerous you do something about it?
do you have a friend who could follow him and see if he does go to the pub and watch what he drinks
just a suggestion

If it was you Jeff then it won’t have been me behind, and if you thought I was up your backside, maybe a visit to the opticians would be in order, tailgating is something that is done to me not the other way round no matter how bad your driving.

Yep! great idea, and get your mate to follow him to the toilet and get a sample of his urine and one of his cigarette buts. we can get it analysed and build our case against him.

Makes you wonder if this country of ours would end up being a better place if we did a bit more,or maybe we all should start carrying guns and just take the law into our own hands.Im sure if you thought someone knew who commited a crime against you or your family, you would you want them to "grass` on them to the police?

Oh and if as suggested drink is involved and he drives off the road and into a load of people waiting for a bus and kills a couple then perhaps people will then think it was perhaps a good idea to report it,especially if a member of their family was involved
If any size of vehicle was doing my head in everyday I would find a way of letting them know how I felt about it besides if he is drunk a swift kick in the he maws will sort him out no probs if you can get him face to face.
I see car drivers do 30 on a single road and start speeding when going through a built up area all the time but they are just nervous drivers so perhaps he is the same or its maybe a women.
Runs for cover.
Just noticed the date on this, why was it bumped have I missed something.
How did it all turn out.

here’s a tip 4 ur grass, chuck a half bottle of whiskey over it,that way it will come up half cut.
seems to me that in this case news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/essex/8190905.stm the motorist that “grassed” probably saved a more serious conclusion■■?

That’s a very strange report. The police have time to get there, witness it being driven oddly, watch it driving around a roundabout and attempt to re-join the carriageway.
