Exactly Malc. Funny how the site owner’s conveniently avoid the post isn’t it. Also, correct me if I’m wrong but doesn’t it state in the site rules that personal attacks are not allowed, and I quote from the site rules post :

Additionally, in the recently removed thread about me in the feedback column, why were numerous personal attacks on me by various members left in the posts unedited or removed altogether ?
I read the thread, and didnt see any personal attacks, there again rumour has it that I am only human and it is possible that SHOCK HORROR I missed one…
but seeing as the whole thread has now been removed it is a moot point!
A reasonable annual sub not objected to. Maybe along lines of Friendsreunited @ £5 per year? Might stand a bit more, but certainly not £5 a month.
However, I think it important that new “lookers in” should be allowed to read/post free for at least the 1st 6 months, better 12, otherwise you will discourage many future & possibly very valuable contributors.
I think a voluntary contribution scheme maybe more likely to work here than at some other sites, such as free software etc. as many members here are often very grateful for the excellent & accurate answers they receive, often within minutes.
ROB Rikkis got enough on his mind at the minute just take a chill pill please if you really need to have a go at someone DONT make it Rikki or Lucy at least until they have the site sorted out.

Im not sure why one of trucknets advertisers is having a go at a member who posts a lot of knowledge for free, therby bringing new members to a site he advertises on.
I know what I mean, if no one else agrees
If you are reffering to me then check through Robs postings where he regularly tries to shoot down a popular product, and it’s newer version, Why??

Simply down to Jealousy and the fact he cannot understand business matters
I’m all for criticism where its due, but one things certain, if anyone is going to criticise then they should understand the full facts to enable them to engage brain before opening mouth
According to RobK he is right but 60,000 other drivers are wrong when it comes to the Hour Guard
So the reason for your post was that you were upset Rob K had not bought an hour guard
I dont suppose Rob needs me to fight his battles as he is a good Gipton lad but yhis post has nothing to do with the problems TN is facing,
As already stated, it would be a sad day if TN closed, but since I have been away, things seem to have happened which could be positive

Wheelnut, I dont give a ■■■■ who does or does not have one, but nobody can give a fair criticism if they have not tried it simple as that.
No doubt if I called you a [zb] you would like to defend yourself, this works for all sides, I defend the hour guard as it cannot obviously defend itself.

I have a guy who seeks sponsors and advertisiers and he gets paid purely on commision. The More sponsorship he gets the more he earns. If ih doesn’t get sponsorship / advertising he gets nothing.
Thats what TNUK needs to HELP solve some of the problems.

i dont post on here that often now, is it any wonder when mods are butting in for the slightest thing…
i have always said i would pay a fee so theres no denying that …but i wondered what or how much the fee would be. Bearing in mind that Rikki needs a £15.000 annual income…then work out how many members there are, and it will give some idea of what to be charged. BUT…there are of course other issues to be taken into consideration…is there a profit to be made…(of course there is)…would members who didnt pay…be locked out of the site…(course they would)…what happens when a paying member gets barred from the site (income goes down)…people leave…income would be like a yo-yo…and what would new members have to say about paying for a site they can get for nothing around the corner…albeit…not as good…but there are a lot of issues to be sorted out other than to say… As from Monday next week..everyone has to pay £10 to continue using this site
WHOA END IT YOU LOT back in your corners, it was dead simple yes or no, and after reading some of the replies i have to admit i have changed my mind, and one of the reasons is because over 2000 views, and only 118 votes, and after being realistic they would never get enough money in to make it work, said it ,at the beginning i understand why they are giving it up and do not blame them and whatever happens wish R & L all the best. And because of all the argueing that is why TNUK is such a good site. you would have to becarefull who you picked to help you run it they may put restrictions on what we can and cant slag off, anyway anybody else had a crap week
