TNT Line haul driver!

CRAIG-D:
Is Steve Bown still there Jim or has he moved again, I heard he was at Wellingborough and then at N’ton, I wouldn’t be surprised if he has gone by now though?

i think steve bown left a while back …he was one that used to give us good work

LOL, ditto, I had known him since he was at Cannock in 97/98, nice guy and always gave good work

I thought Atherstone and birch coppice were sorting hubs not distribution depots.

Different department I am afraid . I work out of Northampton on the European line haul side …

Yeah! Cheers anyway Jim!

Line haul driver? FFS this is the UK not America. I thought I’d inadvertantly gotten into the expats forum. No such thing as a line haul driver here.
Boring night after night same old same old regular run in the dark trunk driver maybe. (how do you guys do that year in year out without going mad?)
Since the advent of the internet I’ve noticed more and more Americanisms creeping into the English language, people saying “hey” instead of “hi” is very noticeable.

TNT were using “Line Haul” when I was there years ago, I got a mate on a Dutch run for them and he is a “Line Haul” too, you are right it is all Americanism though, good old trunking is what we called it.

Well!! I went and 15 minutes later I was going home! Talk about jump through hoops! :unamused: My proof of address was outside the 3 month requested!
But I needed my P60 or P45 for proof of my NI number! :open_mouth: Payslip wasn’t enough apparently!
Asked if I would come back on Monday afternoon! I was doing TNT Trunking this morning till 6am and I’m :smiling_imp: as hell!!

i think it’s linked more to australia than america as that’s where tnt originated after the second world war…
