Ivor doesn’t state in his profile where he is based , but if he checks out www.drivermedicals.com he will find that they seem to have locations all over the country and they charge £41.70 plus vat + £49 for a medical, payable in advance. The firm I work for uses one of their local doctors (they go under the name of Cotswold Medicals) and being the cheapskates that they are they wouldn’t pay any more than absolutely necessary, seeing as they pay for our medical exams. Most of the local taxi drivers also seem to use them as well.

Sorry, typing mistake in last post. It should read £41.70 plus vat = £49. That will teach me to read it properly before hitting the Post button :blush: :blush:

my last medical at 45 was a bit of a farce, doctor said it will cost £77.00, and I must go out of surgery hours, no problem i though.

On the day of the medical, the quack called me and asked if i could go early, no problem i thought, he also advised i must bring cash, again no problem.

Got there and he read thorugh the forms muttering, then asked how tall i was, how much i weighed, can i read the eye chart on the wall, to which i replied yes, and then pretty much said i have to sign the bottom of each page next to his signature, paid up and left.

Was in there all of about 3 minutes :open_mouth: :open_mouth: :open_mouth:

Got the next one in a few months for 50, I just have this dread of the plastic glove snapping over his wrists… not sure I will allow that to happen :sunglasses: :sunglasses:
