transporter man:
The first atic for me was a Morris BMC 12ton tractor with Tasker car transporter trailer(trying to put photo on)
5.1 engine 4 speed box & Eaton 2speed axle ( best bit of the truck) First reg 1958. Capacity 6 cars or 7 Minis.
Drove this vehicle on weekends when I was 17, due to the fact the unit was under 2.5 tons.
Stupid question but is that a publicity photo ? Non of the motors look like they are chained down and why are the van doors open ? also ,how did you get six cars on that trailer

This was the first time that we loaded this vehicle, did a demo at J S Robson (Vauxall Bedford dealer) in Consett. We had had no training at all and just played around until we finally loaded it. Up until this time all there cars had been delivered by trade plates.
