This has to be a expenditure limit on card

A

Reason I ask is boss says there’s no limit on card he knows of ( will investigate ) , but I can’t understand is exceeded , it won’t let me put any diesel in so is it saying the limit on card ( assuming there is ) was exceeded the previous time I filled up , wouldn’t pump cut out at limit , pump attentent day about limit etc etc

I’d suggest … ask Eddie

It never rains, it always pours in dozy-land.

default limit of 300ltrs in 24 hours is the norm if i remember correctly on most fuel cards unless company specify a higher limit of say 600ltrs per 24 hours.

We have a max of 1200 euros in one transaction

But the display in the photo refers to a weekly limit?

There we are then: a different reason for him not getting home on a Friday evening.

When you’re loading up for a fuel delivery, I don’t think you’re supposed to fill your road barrel from the forecourt pump!

It’s not quite as “real time” as that. When you insert the card, it first goes through a PIN code check (this is not done online - it’s just a discussion between the card and the terminal). Assuming the PIN is correct, the terminal checks online with the card company to ensure that (a) the card has not been blocked and (b) the account is in good standing (i.e. no limits exceeded, account is paid up-to-date etc). Once given the “green light” the online transaction is ended and the terminal releases the pump to deliver whatever amount the pump operator has agreed to allow. If that transaction then puts the card (or the account) over a prescribed limit, future transactions will be refused until such time as the overlimit amount has been rectified or any necessary time period has expired.

I filled up twice in a week , both times 200 Ltrs, so 400 ltrs in a week , boss is looking into this Monday as he knows nothing of a limit , just said have you enough fuel to get back , yes just
It wasn’t stobart truck , it wasn’t a scania it was a man , not that it made any difference as the issue was with the diesel card
The 2 occasions I’d used it in the week it worked fine

Probably cos it was so late on saturday night they didn’t think Dozy should still be working so suspected fraud!
