The weekend?

YT comes to the rescue this morning! No hot water & the boiler wasn’t firing up. The read-out on the boiler said low system water pressure, so I went on YT & Worcester-Bosch had a vid on how to fettle it.

I kept a flexible pipe fitting from the last boiler & thought that might come in handy, I had to go searching in the shed for it, connected it up to the external loop fittings under the boiler & refilled it to 1.5 bar. Jobs, a good un & got me some brownie points from wifey. :+1:

We had trouble with our boileryears ago , it would intermittently not work , these two young fitters turned up one day and had a right go at my girl who was only a youngster at the time saying she’d wasted there time , next time they came I made sure I was there they never said a word , and they were told what Ithought of them , they apologised but said there was nothing wrong with boiler.

Next time we had a old chap who within mins said it was a board of some type , never had a problem afterwards , told the gas board we’d only have him from then onwards , retired now but he knew his stuff , top bloke

Does your boiler not have a valve fitted that allows the tank to be topped up manually ??

Yes, you have to connect the water inlet to the boiler inlet with a flexible fitting to top it up like this.

Ours is a Baxi and is fitted with a one way valve / tap.

Got all my work stuff ready
Roast lamb for dinner
Got to put up 2 solar lights today amd some other little jobs

My 29 year old daughter  (I’m too young to have a 29 year old ffs , I still feel..and act like I’m 35 myself :joy:)as it happens she still looks 18 as a 29 year old Mam of 2, we all must have good genes .:grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

I digress in my usual self praise and admiration.:joy:…..

It was her birthday yesterday while I was at work, so a bit of quality time taking her out for lunch shortly ….told her to choose any venue, maybe a mistake, Spoons would have done me.:joy:

I sorted out the home insurance renewal, had hoped to get a decent price from soneone I already use for motor / life etc, but this time Saga came in hands down cheapest…..!

I may try saga when mine come up

They were £100 cheaper when renewing my car insurance than the nearest competitor which happened to be Tesco insurance.

She said ‘‘Do ya fancy just a meal in Spoons Dad’‘ so that’s where we ended up …..seems she shares my tastes more than her Mams :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

On way I txtd my radio DJ mate who was doing his show to wish her Happy Birthday, she was driving and just about went off road😃

Yeah…a good afternoon out….(I put the cap on as I tend to look a bit like Shrek without the beard.:joy:)

I had a 600 Fazer 2002 I think . Is the most comfiest bike ever rode. Can ride it for hours seat was so soft and comfy. Had few other bikes since. Now got Cbf 600. But seat on its rock hard not that comfy at all.
Looking maybe replacing it next summer god knows what with. Keep. looking around but nothing really stands out for me

What about one of these edd , my eyes kept getting distracted by it yesterday , super charged , racefit exhaust , you’d not have to worry about comfort as you’d be more concerned about hanging onto it :winking_face_with_tongue::joy::joy:
