need to take wife’s Audi to my lad’s garage at some point, dash lit up like a Christmas tree she reckons

I#’ve been thinking, blimey Ady, doesn’t your lad have a good job at a Ford dealership, surely he can get that sorted at limited ££.

Couple of posts down, Rob reminds me that he is the one with a lad at the dealership……

Apologies to those involved for the confustion I was having….!

Its hard to keep up with Dozy’s antics

Today it’s a bit cooler due to NE wind sprung up
Sunday morning nutters out playing football :soccer_ball:

I’ve been out to the garage to get some pork chops out of the freezer in there & it’s proper parky, It looks like the temps are dropping to low single digit & -C overnight temps next week.

Yes njl it’s rob with a son in the trade , though I’ve changed engines / axles / gearboxes in the past so can do a bit , but age etc you get to the stage where it’s let some one else do it , car has 3 yr warranty on it ( got 1 yr + added 2 yrs extra so they should do it

Though I’ve changed some bulbs & wheel lately

As for antics , I can’t drink blue estate like you & lancpun , it’s either water or odd days I treat my self to a weak tea flask so it’s you two piss artists :winking_face_with_tongue:antics we should be worrying about not me

Woke up this morning…..cue blues guitar riff.:joy:

Got work gear on, tidied up back garden, put all garden furniture away for winter, trimmed the wife’s favourite bush…oooh matron :joy:, and did my butch lumberjack bit and cut some logs.

Back in house, showered, then a nice surprise my Mrs had this ready for me…., no meat content but still enjoyable.

So I’ve decided to have a ‘‘blokey afternoon’‘ in the house….dressed as usual shorts flips and football shirt, log burner on full, and planning to watch a war documentary on Netflix, then pour a beer and watch the England game in 60’’ high def……sorted.:smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

LOL Tha can’t beat a bit o swilly.

Ya need to get this pre.occupation with ‘your age’’ thing sorted mate.

Age is but a number, if ya choose to be old your’e old, my Dad taught me that years ago, he’s 88 and still thinks he’s 60.

I must be somewhere around your age but in my head I’m around 35ish rightly or wrongly, and probably to the embarrasment of my kids I still act that way., but I keep the balance right in the end.

My lovely younger than me Mrs keeps me ‘young’’ but often reminds me when we are out (maybe luckily for me :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:) that I actually ain’t ….when I re.act to some young d/head gobbing off, one day I’ll bite off more than I can chew, so it has it’s pitfalls.:grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Life’s how ya make it mate, don’t let age dictate to ya……listen to yer Uncle Rob.:joy:

Don’t worry @robroy ill be having a full english tea , no bacon but sausage egg black pud and fried bread

Don’t forget when it comes to bikes I think he forgets quite quickly that he isn’t as young as he once was…..! :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

I feel like the breakfast pauper, my humble offering is poached eggs on toast!

I am just starting another go at intermittent fasting, so only eat or drink any calories between 12-6 then have 18 hours on water and black coffee. Previously I was going for 20/4 which led me to try for a giant feast for 4 hours a day….

Nah can’t fault him on the bike side of things.

Maybe that’s one of the few aspects where I have actually grown up a bit …..nowt at all wrong with bikes, but I reckon I’ve lost the carefree courage now to open one up like I used to…….but I know somebody on here apart from Ady who hasn’t :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:.

Never got around to getting my bike licences I used to ride my mates (admittedlly illegally) when younger, and me and the wife used to hire them on holiday …..and tour Mediterranean islands wearing only t.shirts and shorts ffs

In fact just found these.

Think my Mrs was even pregnant then….oh to be young irresponsible and carefree eh? :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: …..

Hey! maybe I’ve grown up after all come to think of it.:joy:

Jeez man…check out the mullet and Magnum tache….but ignore the lady boy shorts .:scream:
