Gotta keep room for cheesecake
Yum! That looks tasty, I’ve got bacon & black pudding on the shopping list, I ain’t cooking today so it’s going to be a pizza & chips for tea tonight.
We don’t do daylight silly time, in the north. The extra hour of sunlight fades the curtains.
A day or so late, but I’ve finally got all the clocks set correctly, what a ball ache having to keep doing this.
Still miffed that they can down load a tacho head remotely and by Bluetooth driving along but still can’t change the local time remotely
Both my cars did it them selfs yet my truck didn’t ![]()
We all know that the Tacho will always record on UTC (GMT) Some drivers may want to set the local time to where they are, some may not. Some reset local times when changing countries, some don’t.
I can see why it is left up to drivers to make the choice of setting the display how they wish.
Maybe the best would be for a setting (a one off) where the driver can opt for automatic reset to local time? So if chosen oit is auto, and if not then it is OK for the driver to keep a constant time setting.
Reminds me, gotta reset the oven’s clock. That’ll be a 30 second job that’ll take an hour or so.
Monday is still part of ‘my weekend , just enjoyed an ‘All day brunch’ and a pint of Guinness in Spoons while the Mrs is out shopping…..told her to take as long as she wants…..how good am I to her eh? ![]()

Don’t even have to get off my arse to order my next pint, at bar either…..being a ‘modern tech aware young man’ I just use my app at my leisure…(ok fair enough ‘young man’ may be pushing it a bit ![]()
Baking day today, I’ve made a corned beef & potato pie. Going to have some mash gravy & mushy peas with for tea.
Certainly woke me up moaster , will be just about be last ride to March next year , then bike goes , enjoyed it and has got me back into bikes ,but I find it a bit slow to be honest , acceleration , pcp hasn’t worked for me as I like to modify / make it my bike , and it’s a waste of money on a pcp , and a bit more comfort wouldn’t hurt .
So this will be last roll of dice , wife has ok it ( she likes Aprilia colours) , so I’m changing before next years season starts ( but she has said last bike ) to one of these tuono,s
I’d bite your hand off for a Tuono Ady, I’m too old for head down arse up! Straight bars and a full fat race engine is the way to go methinks.
I’d also quite like a crashed/repaired Gixxer/ZX10 etc with no bodywork, Renthal flat bars and a 46 tooth back sprocket so it tops out at around 120mph max but will do it on the back wheel all day ![]()

Can I come and live with you ?
Although, even though i say it myself we don’t do so bad, since her Alzheimers diagnosis I’ve become very ‘domesticated’, I do all the cooking and we eat well, we don’t eat so called ‘junk food’ , tonight I’m doing beef stew.
LOL, there’s plenty left.
I’ve been the chief cook & bottle wash for as long as I can remember & enjoy cooking fresh homemade food too. Beef stew sounds good, especially if there are dumplings involved. No, we don’t eat junk food either.
I bought a new stockpot pan the other day as the handle on our old enamel one broke after I dropped it, I’ll be christening it soon making a hotpot.
Check for recent valve clearances being done if you are getting a higher mileage one, it doesn’t come cheap when that time comes around.
Aprilia Perfornace in Tamworth are often regarded as one of the best places to get work done.
What a afternoon! I had to take the missus over to Wigan hospital for a 4pm app to see a consultant there about her hip & joints, The waiting room was choc-a-bloc & just as the meeting was finished he says you need to go for an X-Ray & blood test,I could have cried. two more waiting rooms later we come out into commuter traffic all the way back home, I don’t miss driving in these conditions any more, I must have used up all my patience on the lorries years ago.
Bottle of Henry’s & driving some trains on TSW6 dahn sarf, Class 390 Pendo from Euston to Birmingham to relax. ![]()
Flu jab appointment for me today.
Depending on who does it, it will either feel like a mosquito
bite or some one has just knocked a 6" nail in your arm with a sledge hammer
Speaking as a 100% wimp, I don’t like the idea of jabs, but after having a few more recently, including a daily one for a few months, a while back, I don’t find them nearly as bad now.
One certain thing of being old is you will get used to needles. ![]()
